The “dripping pen” card could have been customized: adding 3 periods after Pen… adding 3 drips coming out of the pen, drawing a writing tip looking like a duck bill…etc to match with the passages in the book.

Hi Daniel,
I am not sure I get the theory, but once more you have drawn my attention to something that I was previously oblivious to: the 3 drips are red–as in blood red.
Was that how the original image was, or was it doctored by Z?
Thinking of the greeting card as it was originally intended, it makes sense to me that there were some drips–the idea is that it was just washed, so it is wet, hence the drips. But I would expect the drips to have been some other color, like blue, or whit, or clear to signify water.
I am not sure how deeply card artists think about such matters, but right now it seems likely Z did at least change the color of the drips to make them red.
The question then becomes, was it a message, or was he just adding his own macabre touch?
Thanks,
G
P.S.: As for the duck-pen, I don’t think believe was retouched. Pens actually look like that. If I am wrong, Z should get credit for anticipating Duck Vader by several years.
Hi G.:
I have been contemplating your question about the meaning behind the spider’s web on the Halloween card. I believe I understand.
This research has been a quest of self discovery for me.
I don’t think I will explain its meaning because I believe that people have to discover that for themselves……i…i…i……

Daniel,
In case my previous answer wasn’t precise enough, I will suggest that tomorrow’s date also contains the answer.

Very nice G…I knew you had it…![]()
I was trying to figure out how you hid your answer…I came up with 7 x 5 x 3 = 105…105 x 13 =1365…1+3+6+5=(15) that’s probably not how you hid your answer but that’s mathemagic for you…

It’s a magic square.
In other words…

To be more precise, it adds up to the letter O, the 15th letter of the alphabet.
I thought it elegantly coincidental that tomorrow would happen to be 15-Oct.

What’s a Masonic Cube/Square look like? Can you post a picture for us!?

And I always thought Zodiac was of Welsh ancestry, not Polish.
I’ll bet good money that when we find him, his last name WILL NOT end in "ski"
I’d even guess that he would have a common, prosaic last name, like "Lee," "Brown," "Smith" or something.

Common and prosaic? Smith? Well I never!
NINE can be anagrammed to NEIN which is the German word for no.
SACRED can be anagrammed to SCARED (which means frightened) and CADRES (which is a team of people)
If you put this all together, you will get NEIN SCARED CADRES. Which means that our investigative team is courageous.
When you take the number 9, and multiply it by 5, you get 45. Add 4 + 5 and it equals nine! When you multiply 9 by 3, you get 27. Add 2 + 7 and it equals nine also.
Go further. Let’s pick a number, say 1234. 1234 multiplied by 9 equals 11106. Add 1 + 1 + 1 + 0 + 6. It equals 9.
Try the next. 1235 multiplied by 9 equals 11115. Add 1 + 1 + 1+ 1 + 5. It equals 9 too.
Let’s try 1236. 1236 multiplied by nine equals 11124. Add 1 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 4 and it equals 9 AGAIN!!!!!!!
I’m not sure what this proves.

Has anyone noticed the skeleton’s right eye is much more detailed than the left eye, which is a simple dot in an ellipse?
Is it a meaningless fluke? I’m lost on the analysis of all the possible secret meanings in this card but the right eye is positively different than the left one.
When in doubt, don’t.
Thank you Daniel. I thought I’d found something new.
I’ll check the threads you referenced.
When in doubt, don’t.
Are we talking about the eyes of the skeleton on the front of the card? If so IIRC the ‘dot’ is actually a sticker. A love heart sticker that read "Love you".
Yes, it is the front but I had no clue it was a love heart sticker. I can’t see that.
A love heart sticker is kind of perverse on a creepy Halloween card (imo, of course).
When in doubt, don’t.

I’m not finding any info about the eye being a sticker but there were stickers inside the envelope along with the card.
