Excellent Idea, to get more information out in order to catch the Z. Not even a bad idea now, for something like this to go out to all the newsletters. Some friend or family member must have an idea, who the Z was. Or if they didn’t and saw a collection of information, it might make them think again. Someone out there, knows something….

That could be costly. Plus, there’s a chance that Relatives of his or friends that could possibly recognize the writing, may have died, or may be really old now, and may not recognize it or come forward. But I really like the idea, you think the police would have come forward with this kind of idea. We could give Kevin Fagan at the SF Chron a call, maybe he could get us a discount. I would say that running an ad like this in the bay area, as well as the Riverside area, could be good. Then again, we also must consider that newspapers and print media ads are pretty much dead, and that many people get their stuff online.

If I was designing the flyer, I would lose the pic of the car, and concentrate more on the sketches as well as the writing samples showing Zodiac’s odd writing habits, and the timeline of likely living in Vallejo,working in SF, and quite possibly being in Riverside in 66-67. His suspected timeline,sketches,and writing are what I would focus on. I do like the other mentions of his interest in hunting, Gilbert & Sullivan, comics, etc. Somebody, someplace, knows the Zodiac,even if they don’t know he is zodiac.

Hmm, don’t know how you’d describe the suspect in a description to go with the composite. I mean to combine Z into one Universal description would look something like….
Name: He will not give us his name for fear of police interfering with the slave collecting.
Race: Black while in Pacific Heights, White when anywhere else.
Age: Surviving witness: 20 – 25.
Age: Observant Officer: 35 – 45.
Hair colour: Black, brown, blonde, and red.
Hair type: Wavy brown with overhanging fringe and clear blonde crew cut with widows peak.
Sex: Not interested, rather do his thing.
Possible links with: Riverside, CA and Paradice, NO (Idea)
Eye Glasses: Yes and no, maybe sometimes.
Distinguishing Features: No interest in walking like normal person, preferring instead to shuffle and limp from one crime scene to the next.
Last seen: Conspiring with some steps to evade capture.

It would have to be something, that grabs everyone’s attention. Something visual without a lot of reading, then more people are more apt to look at it. I would leave the car out.

@Welsh This is why I had not put any age or hair color, yet. Hair style can vary from time to time. Both sketches, one with glasses and one without. The shuffling limp could have been a temporary disease, or, would be an additional feature of his appearance. Black in Presidio was corrected a few minutes later.

So if there is an additional feature, we may add it. What could be of importance is a contact mail or phone number, of course.

I am not skilled enough to do it, but I hope somebody can figure out a way to combine,on one single page, all of the sketches below, as I think they should all be included in hopes that one of them or a combo of them actually does indeed resemble the real zodiac.

Maybe use the sketches as a background, and the info,writing samples, etc, overlaid on top of the sketches?? Sort of like this photo? A collage of the sketches, big enough to see, with pertinent info pasted overlaid on it, or at top/bottom?
