I am writing to recruit people with high level computer and recruiting skills. I want to form a research project in which we “scrape”ancestry.com and other similar websites to create a database of white males between 25 and 45 in the Bay area at the time of the Zodiac. A user named Barry began this back in the day, but unfortunately he gave up and deleted his data. I think with the computing tools available now, we can create a list of under 10,000 names to begin to research.

If anyone would like to hop on board, please PM me.

There is probably 1,000,000 white males that match that description having affiliation with bay area during such time.

I would defer to old phone books and even still doesn’t mean he would be in there.

@simplicity2 that depends. The population of the Bay Area was less than now. For example the population of Vallejo in 1960 was about 71,000. Eliminate women from the search and your down to about 35,000. Limit that by race and your down to about 25000. Reduce that down by age group and you are looking at 10,000 people or less.

It would be an undertaking for sure, but not impossible.
