Hi everyone!
Have you ever heard of that case? Here’s a little recap (don’t mind the style, though): https://murderwinecheese.com/2021/04/10/alain-lamare-and-the-institutional-mess/ Why do I mention this case here? Because I think there are similaraties between that and the Zodiac case (for instance, the man gave his victims a car ride before shooting them, reminding what happened to Kathleen Jones; he sent taunting letters to LE; cars are a very important element of the case; his actions were erratic, to say the least, etc), plus the Lamare case was solved, which, in my opinion, may give insight into Z’s personality.
Please tell me what you think. According to you, could Zodiac have suffered from heboïdophrenia (a form of schizophrenia pushing those who suffer from it to hurt people and even kill them), like Alain Lamare? After all, Lamare’s words "I’m a killer, and as such, I will kill" echoes those of Zodiac, "I like killing people because it is so much fun".
I think it’s more interesting that he was a gendarme (some type of military law enforcement?) and that someone recognized this link early on because his letters resembled police reports.

Yes, they are like police for the military. For example, if a military man commits a crime, he is more likely to be arrested by the gendarmerie rather than the police.
In France, the Gendarmerie Nationale is both a police and military formation.
