Think I figured out this Paul-on-the-scotch-tape-issue, however have not seen the letter itself yet (it’s a R. Graysmith info). Then looked for any Paul connected to CJB or Darlene or, or, or…crimezzznet came up with that story, but never heard it before. Still looking for a solid connection, although I like the Bishop idea, therefore the Paul Bishop in SF might be a clue..

Davids family was at the First Presbyterian church in Vallejo..

There is a Paul Cavanagh (Emeritus) from the Bishops Sacramento Diocese, too. What was again the name of the owner of 26, St. Stephens Drive, the building with those strange symbol on it?

A marine radio operator, named Paul (‘my name on the bottom of the lid with the scotch tape’) Bishop (‘maybe you play chess with me’), living at 511 Napa Street? 4-5 Blocks away from Vallejo Police Department as well as 1300, Virginia Street, Darlenes home? Close enough to catch all the VPD radio signals?

The PAUL on Napa st was only 16 or so at the time of the Z murders….scratch him off your list

I think the church guy, Paul Cavanagh, died in 1988.

Paul Cavanagh …………………………August 12, 2008 death date.

I got this from the diocese newsletter,but I found nobody by that name that died in CA on Aug 12,1988. Not sure how old he was

Darlene’s address book…shows a

‘St. Paul’

exactly like the name on the ‘bottom of the lid’. On the scotch tape, this is the city where scotch tape was distributed from in Minnesota. In Darlene’s address book however, ‘St. Paul’ shows up in connection with Reverend John Zeltin, with the ‘St. Paul’s Lutheran Church’. I wonder if Zodiac and Zeltin is the same person?

Darlene had his private address, 1309 Tuolemne St, and not the official 1300 Tuolemne St written in her address book.

Is there any reason why? It also seems as if one Zodiac call had been placed from the same street..

In fact there is a St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Riverside, too. It is at 5939 Magnolia Avenue, not far away from Riverside College.

Is there any picture available of Zeltin, or was there any bishop of St. Pauls who was in Riverside as well as Vallejo? Difficult, I know, but I’d feel better having ruled them out..

Dont forget that the Zodiac underlined the word in the name PAUL AVERY to appear as LAV. A clue? Foreigner had a real good theory a while back. She thought the reason he underlined it like that was to make it read as PAUL AVE. There was a Paul Ave in SF, and on the corner of it was a business called the ‘Zodiac Paper Company’. I thought that was a real good theory, and we chased it a bit, but came to some dead ends. I suppose that the LAV could be a clue of some sort,that Zodiac was taunting the police with. Maybe his initials? Maybe his first name was Paul, and his last name started with LAV. Somebody also pointed out that there was a Lunar vehicle with those initials LAV, and Zodiac used a lunar related stamp on that letter. I guess the possibilities are endless,but he certainly wanted to draw attention to the LAV for one reason or another

Also could stand for Anton LaVey and remember reading he actually turned one of his followers into LE cause Anton thought he might be Zodiac. But true like a lot of other stuff with this case the possibilities are endless.

Can’t see the pic real good but he does have a crew-cut. Wonder if Darlene knew the son as well ?
