His motive was he enjoyed killing. It was a fun game to him, coupled with an apparent compulsion to do so.

When in doubt, don’t.

According to his letters which contained bluffs, threats, claimed other crimes, and ciphers which were supposed to contain his identity.

Actually, it’s according to my opinion based on a detailed study I made in 1982.

When in doubt, don’t.

As for motive I think he was a very lonely person that was incapable of social relationships with others. He envied others that had social relationships and was willing to kill to make others feel his pain. Then terrorize the communities to get the attention he craved.

Could be, Stitch. I have yet to make up my mind about whether or not any serial killer is capable of emotions that so-called normal people feel. Sociopaths and psychopathic minds are still a mystery. I’m not sure such people care beyond getting what they want and I don’t think their wants are what a normal mind would conceive as normal need.

When in doubt, don’t.

Who knows if I’m right or wrong on the subject Patinky. Just my opinion I get from Zodiac.

Patinky I think what you was trying to say and what I believe Zodiac definitely had a motive no matter what it may have been. It’s not a easy one. where hey your dog took a dump in my yard now I will burn you’re house down, that you can connect very easily. To me they was random killings even though others speculate Zodiac knew some of the victims and etc.

Zodiac had a motive but not one easily solved and most likely had no connection to his victims. Still he had a motive and think he accomplished what he wanted to do and became satisfied. That said that’s why motive is hard to close this case alone!

Zodiac hated the world and not just certain individuals. In my opinion he was prone to look for his victims at specific spots. The places where he knew they engaged in social interactions which he envied. No proven hatred against someone he knew and a random killer.
