I found an interesting letter to the editor of the Sac Bee mentioning a series of articles written for the paper by Paul Avery after he left the Chronicle about a guy from Paradise who was shot. This letter to the editor was mailed from 1980, same year Avery’s articles ran. Curious, anyone think this sounds Zodiac-esque at all? 

So far, I have not found anyone with the letter writer’s name or close to it that lived in Roseville in the early 1980’s. While it’s not a crime to make up a fake name and send a letter to the editor, because of the way it reads, and that it’s about Paul Avery, it seems interesting
