Nope, I never felt it was legit.
And also, I didn’t know TK’s DNA was in any database, I thought the Kaczynski brothers always refused to give it LE.
TK isn’t in a position where he can prevent his DNA from being acquired.
Had to clean up this thread a bit.
Lots of debate about Ted K. that should have been in the proper threads.
If anyone would like to elaborate on his DNA or his whereabouts, please find/create an appropriate thread as there is some decent debate about it that might get lost posting it here.

I think it sort of hit a dead end, with no one being able to determine exactly where he was after 67 when he transferred to Santa Cruz.

Personally, I don’t have the time or energy to look at anymore suspects. Too many things going on for me now, but Ross is my favorite suspect whether he was Z or not. I am hoping that DNA is developed so it can be entered into GEDmatch and the true identity of Zodiac can be determined

I want it to be this guy, but he was in jail for murder at the time. He did escape early 70’s and I think he is still at large.

My verdict is ALA or Ross Sullivan. The most obvious explanation is most likely the truth.
At least when it comes to Cheri Bates, my favorite POI is, not surprisingly, my POI, whom I’ll call Rob Hart. Hart has the same initials as the RCC library desktop poem’s author; attended Ramona High when Bates was a freshman (freshwoman?); played football, as did Bates’ boyfriend (Bates went on to become a cheerleader). Hart’s girlfriend, and eventual wife, lived literally right around the corner from Bates, and was a librarian assistant at RCC library, which would have provided Hart an opportunity to poetize when patrons had left. Finally, Hart was also in the Naval Reserve. I suspect Hart might have made a pass at Bates, and she threatened to tell his wife-to-be, or might actually have done so. (Damn, I wish I could read Cheri’s diary! If you’re an RPD detective reading this, check it out).

You’re using the composite from Lake Berryessa, but if you have seen Rick Marshall from that time period, you’d know he doesn’t fit the description the three young women gave.
