Does anyone here have a list of people who law enforcement officially cleared? Do we even know if they have "officially" cleared the suspects and POI we are familiar with?
I’m also wondering, are there POI whom we don’t know about but law enforcement investigated and couldn’t clear?
Robert Carpenter and Karl F. Werner were cleared on alibi.
Ted Cruz was cleared based on not having been born during the time of the murders.

LE doesn’t think Ted K was the Zodiac.
Typically, detectives would compare handwriting and/or prints; when they didn’t match, they moved on to the next guy…there were new suspects every week and ironclad alibis were pretty rare. Allen continues to be a suspect in spite of zero forensic matches, so a "list of average white guys investigated by LE who absolutely cannot be the Zodiac" would probably be very short.

Yes, I’m really frustrated how many people continue to think ALA is Zodiac — especially Graysmith. Does Graysmith still feel this way about ALA? I’m sick of hearing about Earl Van Best, too. C’mon man.

Marshall was only "cleared" because he denied being Zodiac on his deathbed. He might have just been a very good liar.
