The five canonical murders were a spree over two years.

Still classed as serial killing due the time in-between, but 37 or higher victims would make him a dedicated killer on the level of Ted Bundy.

The zodiac was on his own level and with his own agenda. Nothing like Ted Bundy, Ridgeway or the like.i do agree he was dedicated but I don’t think killing was his passion.

I have spoken to a few girls who got away from a man who claims to be the Zodiac. I can tell you from what I know about the one who killed in CC County in the 80’s and 90’s.

He enjoyed killing and torturing his victims. It was his passion! He also enjoyed taunting the police and letting them know where to find at least one body. I am very sure that the number of victims are far more than Bundy , closer to 100 by now.

I agree. Of course I believe Real (shooter) Z and Chatty LB Z are different people, but when you look at the shooting victims, we see no torture, not much conversation (none at BRS, not enough time at LHR or PH.) Business-like, no nonsense, efficient, quick. They are hits.

I don’t know. Conversation wise: BRS I would say you are right but LH….eh….david had his ring out. Maybe some communication there. Even with PH. He rode in a cab. We just don’t know the details. Hits most definitely in all cases but not to the level of enjoyment I don’t think. He had another reason.

Most serial killers do escalate and Zodiac had to have escalated to do what he did at Lake Berryessa.

I also believe there were two Zodiac’s working in tandem, one who killed Paul Stine was much smaller than the one at Lake Berryessa.

Knowing he was spotted on Jackson street by two cops and the larger description given for the Lake B killer, he had to show proof he was in fact the Zodiac and mailed some of the shirt to prove who he was.
That of course had to cause some confusion, because it was obvious that the person at Lake B was much larger.

I saw something written near a crime scene in the 1990’s, it reminded me of something that Zodiac could have written. It was " Confusion Prevails". When I read that , I thought to myself how true that statement was in the Zodiac case.

Zodiac wanted to be like no other killer in history, he used different weapons each time, he went after couples then a single male and who knows how many other that we have not connected to him? I think he kept his word for a while about changing his way of collecting slaves and has continued to kill. It was hard for him to keep his word because he wanted the attention that he used to get. But he waited too long before making contact with the police again and when he did he was not believed. Most felt Zodiac had died. I believe he is still out there doing his thing and has escalated to torture before killing them. Those murders get attention, but are not connected to who the killer really is, is what I believe. All we can do is hope that DNA will solve this case soon.

How do you know that, Paul Stine, wasnt technically a couple? I think he was. I think the zodiac went after the one he could get to the easiest. The change was before Stine, it was the day light stabbing at Lake Berryessa, at the waters edge instead of at night in a car.

If Zodiac wanted to kill Claudia Stine instead of Paul, he would have.

I have my own thoughts as to why he chose to kill Paul Stine, it had to do with stealing his drivers license. He could have just as well mailed that drivers license as proof, instead of taking the extra time to cut off the shirt,to prove he was the killer. He wanted that license for his own personal use is what I believe.

He is still going after the easy ones to kill, if that was actually the true Zodiac who claimed to have killed all of those girls in Pittsburg /Antioch in the 80’s and 90’s. I know for sure that the man who killed those girls is the same man I got away from in Vallejo 1968. That can not be just a coincidence.
