I’m most sorry to say this but the 340 "cipher" has been hit at by the worlds best for 40+ years to no avail. We are talking about DOD, FBI, CIA along with the Naval intelligence code breaking specialists, oh, I almost forgot about the super computers that ran days on the 340 and came up with zero. Maybe its time for people to start thinking outside the box and therefor start using different angles upon approaching the 340. I have done allot of work on this case and I’m almost positive that the 340 is binary in nature otherwise this old code would have been cracked a long time ago. After all Zodiac did in fact leave clues to there being binary in his work on a number of occasions within his letters to authorities, one of them being rather simple really, and now I quote Zodiac "I have been swamped out by the rain" what he was referring to was that he was busy in his damp and flooded basement with the binary math.Who really believes that the Zodiac who sent in letters and clues with little evidence such as particles, fingerprints, ect would actually be working in a flooded basement? I surly do not believe this and by the way when Z said ""I have been swamped out by the rain" what he really meant was he was in a mental swamp working on THE BINARY as " BY THE RAIN" is an anagram for "THE BINARY". I posted this below information at my introduction here on the forums because apparently someone wanted me to post the solution to the 340. If in fact I did have the full solution to the 340 then why would I post it here when I could write a book and become a rather wealthy man. I will re-post a small portion of my work on the 340 bellow, however, if you have farther questions please feel free to ask me.
Lets take a look at 4TEEN ( as found on the Zodiac Halloween card ) within the context of the famous unsolved Zodiac 340 cipher.
Looking at the famous 340 Zodiac cipher/code one thing stands out above all others in that there are simple "dots" within the block matrix placed at "6" intervals. This very strongly hints at this cipher/code being binary in nature as dots are used as place holders in binary math without which would make little sense. These dots are placed as such within the matrix grid :
The first dot counting from the top to the right appears after the (28) symbols. The second appears after the next (86) symbols. The third appears again after the next (86) symbols. The fourth appears after the following (31) symbols. The fifth appears after the next (25) symbols. The final and sixth appears following the next (8) symbols in the graph. Now lets put that aside for now and look into how exactly a cipher/code could be encrypted using binary 0’s and 1’s as the 340 obviously is.
You would need two different number grids, one for 0’s and one for 1’s .

Now we have a very clever method to encrypt any message using any symbols using a binary message as the medium. Remember that the zero’s and one’s are taking the place of the symbols used by the Zodiac . As you can see, without knowing the message is coded in binary it is crack proof or unbreakable. Keep in mind that the above cipher grid key samples are just that and the cipher grid keys for binary 1’s and 0’s can be adjusted to mark the particular spot within the 340 cipher any symbol is placed and thus decoded.
Now back to the 14 or 4TEEN

4TEEN seems very important to the Zodiac at this point and one must wonder if in fact 4TEEN is the "KEY" to the 340 cipher or another aspect of the Zodiac project? The answer to which I do not claim to know at this point. Working through the Zodiac letters, codes, ciphers, clues, anagrams and puzzles the number 14(4TEEN) comes up often just like Pi comes up often. Just as Zodiac = Pi as such :

My mathematical work is 100% my own and original besides the Zodiac=Pi which any true sleuth should of course know by now. Binary mathematics has only been used by a very few albeit very smart people who ended up ultimately using these techniques to point the finger at each other as Mr. Grant and Gareth Penn has which led to them getting off track on the task at hand. I’ll also have you know that TIMES17 ( TIMES is an anagram for ITS ME ) is based on binary to morse ( which I do not use often I use binary ) which is now selling for $300 plus and a copy is sitting as we speak in the Library Of Congress. A. In case you have not read this work it is a mathematical masterpiece based on the Zodiac case by a one Gareth Penn. I use this example because he ( also a former member of Mensa ) also uses binary in this work which was so accurate it turned him into an F.B.I suspect in the Z murders. Also I assure you that they do not put elementary books into the Library Of Congress thus adding more solidity to my idea’s with binary math being utilized in Z’s work. I can understand if you had not read this work as it is very complicated and very few understand its contents without breaking out a $130 Texas Instrument calculator.

First off just study how I aligned the numbers without moving them out of their original place in the graph for easy calculation. Please, message back with how exactly it does not line up just as Zodiac had it. Zodiac lined it up by hand and therefor it was not perfect but you know what how about I just jump strait to the jump and end this. Here is another example to solidify the binary.
Using a circle just like with a specific radian ( do the math and you’ll be surprised which radian ) over the puzzle we find that the circle only goes through the word BINARY.

No, I am not joking in the least. If you are going to ask what is "behind the butchering" of the puzzle. Please, if you could, show and/or prove that it is in fact "butchered" instead of implying so without a direct reference as to how. I am a person of facts and therefor I cannot reply correctly based on someones personal feeling without any information ( I’ll say it a third time ) on how you came to the conclusion that the puzzle is "butchered" and not simply lined up via a computer instead of a written sloppy freehand edition. Ok thank you. There are no letters missing including the E or the word slaves its in there. If you look at the original copy sent by Z himself you will notice the letters do not line up next to each other for easy calculation. So what I did was simply realign the letters in mathematical order so some sense could be tried to have of it all. If you start from the top of the puzzle and work your way down placing Zodiacs letters BESIDES each other correctly ( without half spaces between them ) you will come up with this solution. Now, I can understand if you are not comfortable with this but that does not matter because simply put……I already posted the binary puzzle solution above. With this little rather uninteresting mathematical take on the puzzle lined up was simply to look for the 14 or 4TEEN "key" if in fact that is what it is. That puzzle is only really for the BINARY solution posted above with graph and radian. We must understand that the Zodiac killer was very clever which I believe most of us do, therefor, he sometimes uses "visual puzzles" which require the observer to study and yes sometimes look at what is there differently just as in my solution to the "My name is cipher". The My name cipher turned out not being a cipher at all but a visual puzzle in which I have cracked. Same goes for the By Knife puzzle it is both a visual puzzle and a mathematical cipher, or in other words, a two step cipher.
Here is an example of a visual cipher by the zodiac.
Notice how short this is? Every expert on code breaking has stated that it is to short to decipher ( not enough repeating sequence ect ). What do we SEE here? I dont know about you but I see three circled eights that stand out above all else. Why three eights? Because Zodiac wanted us to pay attention to this visual clue. In college I remember a historical literary work I studied call DANTE"S INFERNO. IN Dante’s Inferno are 9 CIRCLES of hell. The zodiac says "my name is" , however, in his other works he was saying crack this code and you will find my identity. Identity is the key word here for such a clever man would not leave his real name. Zodiac could somehow relate to the sufferings of Dante in Dante’s Inferno most specifically in the 8’th circle of hell thus the 3 circled eights.
The Zodiac had referenced many literary works in his letters to authorities and he was using books to code and cipher some of his solution just like some people have used the Bible to code messages.
