CipherMatrix-
I’m quite familiar with binary, as well as octal and hexadecimal. I’ve been doing computer programming for about 36 years now. But how did you come up with that?
Here are your numbers, in binary:
28 –> 0011100
86 –> 1010110
31 –> 0011111
25 –> 0011001
08 –> 0001000
73 –> 1001001
Are you going to tell me that I don’t know how to convert base 10 to base 2. Oh, please.

Who said that the string held "numbers" and not "letters" (adding PLACE HOLDERS) ? Being a computer wiz as you state I find it strange how you did not catch the fact that by adding place holders will produce letters and not numbers. I will repeat this quote for as long as it takes for you guys to understand. Seriously, look closely this time glurk as I’m getting worried your wasting much time on something that is not what you think it is. I quote myself :
Being a man of psychology I know for a fact that :
A. Opening my introduction as I did would produce massive viewership in regards to my posts.
B. My incomplete posts would give me an idea of how the general public are looking at this case.
C. All my posts are made so that anyone can find the solution themselves(cryptic).
D. I am looking for people who can do C.
Now ….Since I know now that C will never happen on these forums I will leave you guys to bash me like a pack of wild animals. This is just fine with me because anybody using more than their allotted 10% of their brain will figure out the solution…. or maybe when you are all done I’ll log in and post the solution and watch as you all grind your teeth in anger, however, I highly doubt that will happen here. Maybe …. after learning so much here I should change my book into an elementary form based on Mother Goose tales because I think that will be grasped easier.

The best proven method to hide something is in plain sight.
Not playing this game. Not in the mood to be part of someone’s psychology experiment. You’re definitely more geared toward an OPORD environment – that is, until you get booted for not believing Guy Ward Hendrickson was part of their alleged Z Team. Good luck recouping your publishing costs.

Let me translate that for you:
Being an internet troll, I know for a fact that:
A. Starting out with a a good troll post involves making many statements that piss on people whilst telling them that it is raining.
B. Finding out which people know that it is piss and not rain lets me know if anyone is paying attention to me.
C. I REALLY NEED someone to pay attention to me!
D. I am looking for people who can do C.

Cipher Matrix will no doubt feel hard done by or victimized. Whatever.
Coming in here with that approach and attitude just isn’t happening. The basic reason we are here is because we can work together, for the most part, so why would anyone even want to join that environment when it’s obviously not a skill they possess? Maybe it’s just us ‘stupids’ that can manage that lol.
Ah, my first scalp. No doubt I’ll get banner’s regret at some point. Still though, to quote Picard "The line must be drawn HERE!".
CM – You stated that Gareth Penn’s father worked for the SFPD. That is incorrect. He worked for the California Dept of Justice.
Trav no regrets. His "massive viewership" got to 500.
When you post work and some one like glurk corrects it, and then you say your errors are intentional, that is arrogant garbage we just don’t need.
MODERATOR
Thank you AK.
This guy was posting garbage. If my work is appreciated at all, I’m a happy man.

(Honestly, my head was about to explode. LOL. But I mean that. I was SOOOOO frustrated.)

That was a slow-motion car crash I saw coming from a mile away…
Argument Clinic needed? Mn. I wonder?

450 of those were him coming back to check the replies.
We are typing online here not writing a college theses.
Theses
The plural of these.
Unless he really meant to say thesis.
Perhaps another of his "intentional" errors.
THESES
T=20 H=8 E=5 S=19 E=5 S=19
20+8+5+19+5+19=76
Number 76
Cryptic way to remind gurk about the fact he failed to answer my question about the radian and the Phillips 66 gas station code. The number 76 is a brand of Conoco Phillips gas stations(76). Its also a 14 ( 4TEEN )- gonal number. Trust me I’m prepared to take the heat here but you guys are missing everything.

And I quote AK Wilks "Perhaps another of his "intentional" error" ….. I bet you feel real clever now?CM
You were right AK. Bet he quickly did some figures to see what he could come up with to justify that one. Who would "of" thunk?
Here’s the thing. Someone once mentioned this is NOT a contest. We aren’t here to prove our superiority. Don’t come here with teases. If you think you figured it out share it, go to the cops….SOMETHING, but don’t come here with a bunch of BS like this. If your results turn out to actually read something, good for you, but DO SOMETHING or move on. Please.

A couple of quotes from Franklin D. Roosevelt.
"Take a method and try it. If it fails, admit it frankly, and try another. But by all means, try something".
"There are as many opinions as there are experts"
Even more apt may be a quote from WC Fields that I saw recently (may even have been on this forum)
"If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. Then quit. There’s no point in being a damn fool about it."
