I guess it’s a matter of opinion, but I think most people agree there is a connection,and I don’t mean that Z worked at the ranch, I mean he was inspired by it on the Halloween card

Well I do find it interesting he stopped writing (presumably) between 1971-1974 and Dirty Harry came out in December of 1971. His following letters, if the Zodiac, would be comprised of "reviews" of the Exorcist and Badlands as well as critiquing a reviewer. Just makes you wonder if seeing a character he closely could relate to in 1971 satiated his need for attention for a bit. perhaps he decided to simply adopt the moniker of a character that he might have possibly loosely inspired. For all we know there could be an anonymous zodiac letter that was unreleased (could there be any?) in which he referenced Dirty Harry and Scorpio, but we just aren’t privy to it. who knows.

Btw I think it’s funny Clint Eastwood starred in both Dirty Harry and the movie about the Alcatraz breakout (Frank Morris and the Anglin brothers). He was a stud.

Ok back to Zodiac sorry.

I just feel the Zodiac had a pathological need to see himself mentioned in the news – whether under one persona or another. IMO he was the type of loser who wanted desperately to be famous and picked an f up way of going about it. The jerk.

I sent a FOIA request in for copies of these ‘Scorpion’ letters & envelopes,and the FBI essentially stated that since John Walsh was still alive,and these letters are related to him, they couldn’t release them. I thought that was an odd response,I am not looking for any of his personal info, just copies of letters mailed to him that were announced & made public on his show.

Anybody have a good email or mailing address for him? Maybe he would provide copies for us.

Walsh is now the host of The Hunt With John Walsh. The program, which debuted on July 13, 2014 on CNN/US, is similar to America’s Most Wanted.

Maybe he can be contacted through CNN?

Unfortunately when it comes to this case, there are far too many places that video could be inserted. It certainly wasn’t meant to ridicule, it was meant to make a point. When it takes so many variables to link something, chances are it is a figment of ones imagination.
