Hi,

I got a new Z theory..we were assuming that Z might have been a movie and/or theatre buff, possibly someone who was even an actor of the Mikado etc..Lamplighters SF theory etc.

When looking at the Vallejo map in connection with the Pimental murder, however, I saw that there is the Empress theatre in Vallejo. Back then, it must have been a hotspot for young people dating each other.

Checked it out so far, and indeed they had a Sullivan play in their program:

The curtain of The Empress Theatre rose for the first time on February 14 with a Sullivan and Considine vaudeville act
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empress_Th … California)

It is very likely that the Empress even had other pieces of Sullivan, e.g. the Mikado playing.

Update: Obviously it became a movie theatre w/o stage plays in 1951..and even more, it might have been closed from 1962 to 1978..?

QT-

The Timothy Sullivan of the Sullivan-Considine vaudeville circuit is a COMPLETELY different person than Arthur Sullivan of the Gilbert and Sullivan opera works.

This was discussed somewhere at some point…maybe at zk.com. I will try and find it. I remember coming across a history of past events and the Mikado was not one of them.

…they may be dealing with one or more ersatz Zodiacs–other psychotics eager to get into the act, or perhaps even other murderers eager to lay their crimes at the real Zodiac’s doorstep. L.A. Times, 1969
