While we are on TV and other influences here is the description of a Ironside episode I posted on the old board called the Perfect Crime that aired back in March of 68 about a sniper. http://www.tvrage.com/ironside/episodes/87439

If the "tailor" Gus had been in business for over 40 years (that ad looks really old), I would guess that particular Gus was not Zodiac. Is the one in the photo the one born in 1945?

The eyelashes on the Peek-a-boo are a nice find. Wouldn’t surprise me one bit if that influenced the drawings in the H.C. card. It is a nice find!

In regards to "The Sniper" movie – we discussed this at the ZodiacKiller.com message boards:

…they may be dealing with one or more ersatz Zodiacs–other psychotics eager to get into the act, or perhaps even other murderers eager to lay their crimes at the real Zodiac’s doorstep. L.A. Times, 1969

There were 3 generations of Gus. One was born in 1945 and died in 2009

A couple days before Z mailed this Halloween card, a young black prostitute was murdered in the same area where Zodiac killed Paul Stine. Her eye lids had been cut out. A news story detailing this crime ran a day or two before Z mailed the Halloween card, and I can’t help but think, Z wanted Avery to connect the card to the murdered prostitute, which at the time was still unsolved(later it was solved, and she had been killed by her pimp)

William "Peek-a-boo" Pennington – the "infamous San Francisco private investigator":

And here…ahhh, all the many zynchronicities! ;)

"Cattle man, private investigator, theater owner, building contractor, oil man, apartment owner, father and grandfather, and now, songwriter.

Add to these words Mason, Elk, and member of the Eastern Star and you get a faint inkling of the varied talents of William Pennington Sr., Lake Havasu City property-owner, who has produced the first song with Lake Havasu as its theme."

… "He and his family moved to San Francisco, Calif., in 1924, where he was a practicing private investigator for many famous lawyers including Melvin Belli and Jacob Erlich.

I wonder if he and Paul Avery knew each other.

(his son William: http://www.unlv.edu/business/nbhof/william-pennington )

(thanks again for the find Blind Bat)

I would like to thank all of you for your comments
on the photos.

I have many more eye-opening never seen before photos to post
if all would like to have a look at them with fresh eyes.

This reminds me of old school days in science class,
where everyone has a chance to look into the
microscope.

Moderators, do you want them posted on
this thread or start new?

From the ratings of view lookers…
The title Peek-A-Boo seems to be drawing a crowd.
Please let me know.

Ok, thanks.
Please understand my method first.

My reason for sharing many years of constant
labor on this case is to help viewers look
at the Zodiac from a different angle.
One can draw their own conclusion of the
whole matter.
Did Zodiac use these same photos for his
self proclaimed ideas?
(If) he did, perhaps someone will say,
"I remember my dad looking at these when I
was a child, and he still has them."

I will post pictures in the fashion of (random).
Like looking into someone’s family albums,
where pictures of different setting are scrambled.

Is this where the Zodiac got his
idea for writing on the car door,
and is this what the Zodiac would
look like on that day?
Meaning looking around to see if anyone
was tailing him before he wrote on the door,
or-made his escape?

Is this periodical house (photo) where Zodiac got
his idea for the Bates murder?

Notice the little boy pointing in the back ground,
and compare it to the police photo of the arrow
pointing to Miss’ Bates body in the driveway.

Erase all but one person on the porch,
and compare it to the police photo too.

In this Post magazine is the story about
the boy who turned killer, editor Patricia Walsh.
Not Patricia Hautz.
