Well, like I said, the Z case would not exist without cars. Could Z be a mechanic? Sure. There is one named suspect whose life absolutely and unequivocally revolved around cars. Oh, and he was his own mechanic in the 1940s and 1950s until he became big. He is also the guy that Pelissetti spoke to on the night of the Stine murder…and who later lied to me when he denied it was him. Is there another POI in the case who was spoken to by the police after any of the Z crimes for any reason…"witness" or suspect? I don’t know of one. I also don’t know of one who wrote on Monarch sized paper. They say that when a case is solved the name of the suspect was right there in the files. KQ’s was apparently in there from the very first night of the Stine investigation.

And KQ is the right age and the right type of person to have possibly either employed, known or been investigated by Peek-a Boo Pennington. He also moved in the right (i.e., elite) circles to have known Belli.

I still think KQ hid Zodiac in his home after the Stine murder, where Z stayed until later the following day when he was sure the coast was clear and then he left the neighborhood as if nothing had happened.

I read a report years ago, I think it was prepared by the State of CA, and a Doctor(I forget who he was)had concluded in the report that Zodiac was likely a homosexual or as Paul Avery once wrote, a ‘Latent Homosexual’. (Avery may have quoted from that report, I can’t remember the details, and I can no longer find the report)

The one piece I remember the Doctor citing, was a line from Z- "It is even better than getting your rocks off with a girl". The point that the Doctor was making, was that a straight man would NOT mention the "with a girl" part, but would merely mention, "getting your rocks off". But a man who was questioning his sexuality, or unsure of it, or was fighting homosexual urges, would feel the need to write "getting your rocks off with a girl" to demonstrate and ‘prove’ that he was straight, the "with a girl" part was telling for the Doctor.

One Z Suspect we can suspect of being a latent homosexual, was Fred Manalli, and I am going to post more about him in a minute as he meets some of what BlindBat’s conclusions seem to be.

Yea I kinda like that thought of Z not leaving that area (stime) as fast as conventional wisdom believes..

the "why the couples" screams to me Z was gay and could never achieve "normal"..bates would seem the one girl Z liked who rejected him,..that leaves stine-why stine? paul stine was married and I have never read he was bi..may be stine had exchanged derogatory words (sexual orientation slurs) with Z earlier on and the Z just wanted to get even..might explain the ""IF"" stine had let Z sit in the front seat due to him having association with Z (friendship?, sexual?)..i dunno..stine is just like trying to place the square peg in the round hole

…may be Z and X had the gay relationship but I have never read anything in regards to X being bisexual either..but it might explain a few things if you believe X hid the Z that nite

In term’s of looking for items that would suggest Z was gay would also be the circled dots for I’s. This is typically a feminine trait.

Gay men however, who kill, kill other men. They don’t target females. Want to understand Stine, you could look at Stine as not being odd or out of place but, forth in a series. Meaning there was no change after all from Berryessa.

Personally, I think Z targeted females and would not be gay. Might have thought about it. Might have questioned. But didn’t act.

One being that Z wanted to get the police off of his trail being that he lived in the Vallejo/Napa area.

Two , because he wanted to show that he could kill males as well as females , letting the public know that no one was safe from him.

Three , he was the person who was driving the other car in that accident Stine had just days before, causing Z not to have a car for a while. I do not believe that Paul Stine was in the wrong place at the wrong time, I think he was targeted for one reason or another.

Four, That he wanted Stine’s wallet so he could use that ID , because they looked that much alike. ( I say this because one of my suspects looks very much like Paul Stine and was his age at that time )

I do not believe that Zodiac left the area after shooting Stine either, that he did indeed go into a home near Jackson and Maple. The police would not be looking for the killer in one of those mansions , he had to know that would be a safe place to be.
He could have rented one of those Apts for a week ,that had a great view of the park. ( I have been in one of those homes which had a basement apt ,with a back door leading “directly” into Julius Khan playground)
Zodiac wrote about seeing everything going on that night, but I think that he lied about being about two blocks away, more like the 150 feet away that he mentioned.

Don’t know about 1 and 3. Never heard of item 3. I do like 2 and 4. I agree wholeheartedly on both of those. I am sure you have seen my post regarding Paul and composite at ZK?

I thought there was a story, somewhere on this forum, about Paul being at a party and was not supposed to be on call that night and took over the shift for someone else at the party that asked him to do so. If that was true, wouldn’t that rule Stine out as a direct target, or would that implicate the driver he took the shift for?

The house I was in had a basement apt with a rather large window, he wouldn’t have needed any binoculars to see it all , it was only a few feet away from eveything at that park.
While standing at that window, looking directly at the playground a few feet in front of me, I had the creepy feeling that I was standing where he may have been on that night.

That link was so interesting to me. When I saw that the book was also in Portuguese, and another mention of Portuguese later on it got to me.

Years ago someone hacked into Z killer.com and changed it to a Portuguese porno site. I mentioned to Tom how odd that it was a Poruguese site.
I am Portuguese and spoke it before English. I had the feeling that the spelling mistakes Zodiac made, was because English was not his first language. I also have wondered if the 340 code could be in Portuguese and that a" clue "was given, when Tom’s site was hacked ?

Could the suspect that Donald Foukes saw be Portuguese instead of looking Welch ?
