I managed to snag an original issue of the Nov. 13, 1969 edition of the San Francisco Chronicle with the 340 cipher pictured!

Truly a great find.

I never realized this whole cipher was put out there so early.

Lots of folks were probably trying to figure this one out too! Also a tool for copy-cats.

I never realized this whole cipher was put out there so early.

They pretty much had to, he threatened to "do his thing" if they didn’t. Boy they made a few predictions in that article that didn’t happen..

"Cops sure clues will snag him" yeah place that along with "Hitler says this Russian invasion will be a piece of cake" and "Dewey defeats Truman".
