Why would Ms. Ingersoll’s murder be a possible Zodiac killing? What am I missing?

What you are missing is a murder done with all of the Zodiac’s MO. Do you know that Zodiac liked killing near "water" or towns , streets, anything pertaining to water? He made "phone calls" to let the "police" know where to find the victims ? "Holidays" were important to him. (This case has all of it.) What you don’t know is that I went to find any witness who may have seen the killer. I found one who told me the man was an older man, in his 50’s ( That was in the early 90’s )making him in is 30’s in 1969. He pulled a long knife out from under his front seat and tried to stab her! I was told he had curly to wavy hair. ( Zodiac witness’s said Z had curly/wavy brown hair) he has a full to round face .She said he was about 5ft 8 to 5ft 10, hazel eyes, pot belly, barrel chested. ( Zodiac was described as 5ft 8, barrel chested, pot belly)
If Zodiac is still alive ,then this guy fits the description better than most I have read about, Pittsburg is not very far from Vallejo. There were a total of 10 unsolved female murders in the 1990’s time frame, in the Pittsburg /Antioch area. Don’t forget that a card that could have been from Zodiac ( The Eureka Christmas card )was sent Dec 1990. There were usually Murders by Zodiac around the times of his letters / Cards.

If you are a believer that Zodiac is dead or stopped killing and changed his ways after Paul Stine , then your mind is made up and you won’t see the comparison.
I believe that Zodiac is still alive and has not stopped killing, so when ever I see a murder that has all of the Z’s MO surrounding it , I take a long look at it

Andrea having been found under a blanket suggests that her killer may have known her. Serial killers do not usually cover their victims and Zodiac was no exception to that aspect.

It’s very hard to find any information about the series of murders in and around the Pittsburg/Antioch area in the 90s.

I’m new here, but perhaps I’ll start another thread (for the series) since I believe it ties-in with overall theme.

Some killers (e.g. EAR/ONS) that bludgeon their victims, cover the victims to prevent being covered with blood, etc…

Here, Ingersoll "died as a result of a ‘traumatic injury’" (bludgeon?).

Serial killers do not usually cover their victims and Zodiac was no exception to that aspect.

The Body was found in a gully off a canal road in West Pittsburg. Found under a blanket in the wooded area, after an anonymous caller tipped off authorities.

Zamantha, sorry if I’m totally missing it, but what’s the newspaper/date you got this from? I’m just trying to find the similar one for Sharon Mattos (also found in ’92 in Pittsburg).

From the byline, I’d say Sandy got the articles from the Contra Costa Times. Looks like Andrea died Nov. 10, 1992. And I read online that Sharon Mattos died July 18, 1992.

The Contra Costa Times online archive only goes back to 1995 and you need to pay $2.95 for each article.

One of the reasons I was so interested in Andrea , was that she was a friend of my eldest daughter, who was being stalked by my suspect. My daughter was with Andrea the night she disappeared.
I went to talk to the prostitutes in 1991 in hopes of protecting them, if he was the man they had described, then I could give them his picture ,so they would not get into his Car/ truck.
One of the girls who got away from the killer screamed when she saw his picture, saying that was the man with the long knife who tried to kill her !
Somehow one of those pictures was sent back to me , it was sent to my PO Box, no return address, the Tulip stamp was upside down.

Teresa Brown lived about 7 blocks from me, she was forced off the road in the same area I was forced off of, but I got away.

There was a man who was following women in the early 90’s, who were driving alone at night on Marsh Creek rd,and Vasco Rd, ( Contra Costa County )the women said he drove a green car and would flash his lights and honk his horn at them.
None of the women pulled over , so none were harmed.

Here is another victim , this one was not raped or robbed. She must have felt that she was being followed , because she asked her co-workers to follow her home the night she was stabbed to death.

I do not believe that Darlene Ferrin’s sister Pam and I were the only women who were being stalked by this man. So yes there is a very good chance that he was attracted to Silvia. This is also close to the area that he was spotted driving around as if trolling for victims. !0 unsolved female murders, made me want to help catch the killer of these women. That is how I found Louisa who got away from him and his knife. He was persistent in trying to get her she told me, I hope she is ok ? Louisa did make a report to Sheriff Linda Reno about her encounter, that was before Louisa saw the picture of the man she got away from. This same man went after another one of my friends on Willow Pass rd less than a mile from the apt that Silvia was killed. So there are more of us that he enjoys watching ,following, tormenting, forcing off the roads in CC county. I can not express the feeling of evil that I felt when I stood toe to toe with this man. He looked at me with such contempt that I have never seen before. I have no idea why he came after me starting in Vallejo 1968 ? Thank you very much for the other links.
