Today is the 47 year anniversary of this double murder. Lots of Z-like clues. Could they be his victims?

In a few days, it will be the 50th anniversary of the killing of this couple. I never had a family member murdered, so I cannot even imagine the grief that it might cause to a parent or to a son/daughter having a family member killed, and spend your whole life without getting justice for it. My condolences to any living family member of Enedine Molina and of Fermin Rodriguez.

From all the pre-canonical killings that are suspected to be the doings of the Zodiac, this is the one that fits better with the MO, so it confuses why people do not pay much attention to it.

Just caught your post now. I agree, this is quite Zodiac-like, especially like the woman being shot in the back as she ran. But there are a couple differences.This couple was a bit older & were Hispanic, which is unlike other Zodiac victims. Of course, if he stumbled upon them on a lover’s lane and attacked, he would only find out after getting them out of the car age & race. Also, it seems as if the killer took her away from the scene of the shooting to another location before shooting her. Z never was known to do that, but then again, if he attacked Kathy Johns, that would be similar. However, it seems as if the female here was stalked in advance with mysterious calls & a mystery man sitting in front of her house. This matches up well with what was reported to have happened with Darlene Ferrin, and in this case, the victim’s daughter claims the mystery calls always came around 10-10:30 am, and Graysmith claimed, that he started getting crank calls around 10-10:30 am as well

Morf It is true from what we know about Zodiac, he didn’t take off with a victim other than Kathleen Johns.

Las Vegas NV 4-27-74, ( A couple of hours later would have been the 4th anniversary of the 1970 Z letter) there was a case where a young couple were parked , a man approached them holding a gun. The male driver ran to get away ,soon after watched the man who was in his mid 30’s, take the young 15 yr old girl in his car and drive away. Her name was Dana Lull ,she was shot in the head with a" 22 long" .(Like what was used on Dec 20th 1968) The killer phoned Dana’s parents to tell them that their daughter was dead ( Darlene’s parents received a phone call the night Darlene was shot) Dana’s body was found 125 miles away in a mine shaft. Dana’s boyfriend was shown a picture line up and picked out Larry Kane as the abductor. I personally spoke to Dana’s boyfriend and showed him a picture that I had of Kane, because I was told more than once that my stalker was in fact Larry Kane. He told me the picture did look very much like the man who abducted Dana. As everyone knows by now ,I spent several years investigating Kane. It wasn’t until Kane had died that I realized my suspect only looked like Kane and is still alive. Many other things in that case pointed to Kane, except Kane was 50yrs old and not in his mid 30’s as my suspect was at that time. Other than Kane’s age he is a very good suspect in the Lull case and for sure the Donna Lass Case.
I wonder if there could be a bullet comparison made from the Lull case to the Faraday -Jensen case?

I just finished reading everything in this thread. Although it can appear to be very complicate, it is a very informative read, and I was able to
follow along. My question would be, if all of this is going on and is connected in some way, just who are we looking for here? Or maybe I should
ask, just ‘what’ are we looking for here. Can one person be doing all of these killings, if they really are connected? And my next question would be,
how bright of a light must one shine upon this case if we are to ever see what is really going on here? Shall we just use the sun as our light source?

I am very interested in all of these possible connections. Would take a brilliant mind to understand the possible connection of all these cases.

gardengirl, I was given a murder map of northern Ca.from a man claiming to be Zodiac,that was back in the 80’s. He had 72 victims on that map at that time. Sense then there have been 12 more murders in the Pittsburg /Antioch area who were killed by a man claiming to be Zodiac. It’s not unreasonable to think that he has over these many years killed more than 100.

If I am correct and he is still alive, he hasn’t stopped. When he has called the police to tell them he is their killer, they don’t want to believe it. That is only one department that I know about, I wonder how many others there are?

Sandy, am I reading you correctly, that you are saying he is still alive and has called a police dept and they do not believe it is him?
May I ask which police dept that is and when he was suppose to have called, and do you know which murder/murders that might be
connected to?

The police department was Pittsburg Ca, in the mid 90’s. There is a thread here that tells about some of the girls killed in the Contra Costa County mid 80’s through the 90’s. One of the retired detectives told me about that phone call and that the police thought it had to be a hoax.One of the victims was a friend of my daughters.Her name was Andrea Ingersol, My daughter was stalked by the same man who is still playing games with me. you can Google Andrea’s name and find some of the other victims.
This is also the same time that Darlene’s sister Pam and I were receiving calls from a man claiming to be Zodiac. I did find one victim who survived being stabbed by the killer.
She saw the picture I have of my Z suspect and said that he was the man she got away from. There is no doubt that this man is a serial killer, proving that he is Zodiac has been a real challenge. The police are just now starting to take me seriously. It is my understanding that they now believe Zodiac was living in the town that I am living in.
The detective who spoke to me about those murders, believes that there were far more killed by the same killer. (Some were tortured)

Credit goes to the oft brilliant Mr. Kite for first looking into the idea, I took his idea and expanded and found further examples, just as Quagmire and Bentley have done.

Basically, if you take the numbers for ALL of the confirmed Zodiac murders, add up the numbers for the month, day and year, they add up to numbers divisible by 5 and forming a pattern from 80 to 105.

This is interesting, if only because it defies logic and laws of probability that ALL the confirmed Zodiac murders and at least four suspected ones should match up in this mathematical way. The matches so far are:

Jensen/Faraday (12/20/68) = 12 + 20 + 68 = 100

Ferrin/Mageau (7/4/69) = 7 + 4 + 69 = 80

Hartnell/Sheperd (9/27/69) = 9 + 27 + 69 = 105

Stine (10/11/69) = 10 + 11 + 69 = 90

Johns (3/22/70) = 3 + 22 + 70 = 95

Radetich (6/19/70) = 6 + 19 + 70 = 95

Lass (9/6/70) = 9 + 6 + 70 = 85

Webster (11/28/69) = 11 + 28 + 81 = 120

This Alameda case does not fit, but IF the killer had intended to strike on June 7, 1967, meaning 6/7/67, which is:

6 + 7 + 67 = 80

then it would fit.

Don’t mean to bring up an old topic, but same could hold true with Bennallack using this theory. If the killing happened after midnight (or at least the killer intended such) then Bennallack would be 9+26+70 = another 105. There is a quote in one article that states that at approximatley 11:30pm, her and her fiancee returned to HER apartment and he returned to his home later that night.

Now for Hikari, her killing of 3+7+ 70 = another 80. She was last seen leaving work at 11:30pm, arrived into her parking lot, but never made it to her apartment. Given where she was found dead in Placer County, this would have had to have happened the next day unless he killed her before midnight somewhere and transported the body.
