Kevin belonged to a photo club that took photos of nude girls Victor did the same thing maybe they knew each other? http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showth … st12029824 http://www.santarosahitchhikermurders.c … _crime.pdf

Could you provide more information re. this club? Wondering what the name was, where located and dates. Was this legal? Were these clubs widespread, i.e. across the country or just going on in a few places?

I was looking at the case of Diane Gurule she was at Varsity Billiards in Norwalk she was seen talking to a male in a black porsche and later left with two males in a van.She was found dead in a industrial area of Garden Grove from strangulation. "Timetoresearch" was talking about a possible case in Santa Fe Springs area which is close to Norwalk. http://zodiackiller.fr.yuku.com/reply/1 … ply-135283 http://victorwild.com/Vintage_Cars_for_Sale.php http://www.ci.garden-grove.ca.us/police … 985/Gurule

Seagull and Killerchaser….

Wasn’t there a similar finding at a Sierra Site, where they believed they had found the sunglasses and some other items that belonged to Donna Lass?

Yes that is true, Harvey Hines and Dave Peterson found the glasses on a hillside at Claire Tappan Lodge Soda springs/ Norden area. ( Not sure of the spelling ) That was were they saw the stones with the sticks in a strange arrangement, Harvey showed me the pictures that they took.

I have been there a few times looking for anything that could be a grave. I did find deep holes covered with very heavy planks, with running water inside that I could hear.
Couldn’t help but think about the "hole" punched in the card as a clue sent by Zodiac about Donna Lass. It seemed like a perfect place to hide a body. The hill to get to it was steep , if that was were he hid her body it would be the perfect hiding place without having to dig.
I doubt Zodiac would ever take the time to dig a grave if there was a easy way to hide a body. Hiding a body indicates to me that the perpetrator knew her.

If all that is true , he would have to know that area pretty well to put her in one of those deep holes off of the main path.

The SRHM killer didn’t do much to hide those victims. I am still very curious about what the clothesline looked like, that was used on one of those victims. Was it like the one used at Lake Berryessa ,white hollow core plastic ?

Thank you for the link to the Newspaper about the possible description of the Santa Rosa Killer. That was the first I read about the one with the Afro style hair. He fits the man I got away from in Vallejo 1968.
The idea that there could be more than one person involved , matches the clues I have been given by my suspect.

I was reading the Wikipedia page on SRHM and it states that

"In 1975, the Federal Bureau of Investigation issued a report stating that fourteen unsolved homicides between 1972 and 1974 were committed by the same perpetrator"

Has anyone been able to read the 1975 FBI report Unsolved Female Homicides – An Analysis of a Series of Related Murders in California and Western America?

In 1975, the Federal Bureau of Investigation issued a report stating that fourteen unsolved homicides between 1972 and 1974 were committed by the same perpetrator.[23] These consist of the six found victims (as of 1975) and the following:

On May 29, 1973, the body of 20-year-old Rosa Vasquez, last seen May 26,[24] was found strangled[25] near the Arguello boulevard entrance at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.[24] The victim had been thrown seven feet off the roadway into some shrubs.[26] Vasquez had been a keypunch operator at Letterman General Hospital on the Presidio.[24]

Yvonne Quilantang, 15, was found strangled in a vacant Bayview district lot on June 10, 1973. She was seven months pregnant.[27]

Angela Thomas, 16, was found July 2, 1973, smothered on the playground of Benjamin Franklin Junior High School in Daly City.[25] She had last been seen the previous evening at the Presidio of San Francisco. A locket was recovered near the body.[28]

24-year-old radiographer Nancy Patricia Gidley,[29] last seen at a Rodeway Inn motel on July 12, 1973, was found strangled behind the George Washington High School[27] gymnasium three days later. The victim was unclothed except for a single[25] fish-shaped[29] gold earring and was determined to have died within the previous 24 hours.[25] Gidley had served four years in the Air Force and told friends and family in Mountain Home, Idaho that she intended to become a freelance writer for the San Francisco Chronicle[27] and was going to San Francisco to be the maid of honour at the wedding of a friend from Hamilton Air Force Base, all of which proved false.[30]

Nancy Feusi, 22, disappeared after going dancing at a club in the Sacramento area. Her remains[31] were found on July 22, 1973, in Redding.[32] She had been stabbed to death. In 2011, one of Feusi’s five children, Angela Darlene Feusi McAnulty,[31] was convicted of torturing, beating and starving to death her 15-year-old daughter Jeanette Marie Maples.[33] McAnulty became the second woman ever sentenced to die in Oregon[34] and the first since the 1984 reinstatement of the death penalty.[33]

The body of 21-year-old Laura A. O’Dell,[35] missing since November 4, 1973, was found three days later[36] in bushes behind the boathouse[35] at Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park. O’Dell’s hands were tied behind her back and the cause of death appeared to be from head injuries or strangulation.[36]

Brenda Kaye Merchant, 19, was found stabbed to death in a ditch February 1, 1974, in Marysville.[37]

On September 29, 1974, the strangled body of Donna M. Braun, 14, was found in the Salinas River near Monterey.[32]

After reading the Wikipedia page it seems that some of the possible zodiac victims should actually be tied to SRHM?

I have not read the report though I have a list of women that were killed in northern California under similar circumstances that was compiled by the CA DOJ. There are quite a few more than 14 on the list. Some of the murders on the list that I possess have been solved since the list was made.

You might try looking at the history of the wiki page to see who put that info up and what the source was for that info. I don’t have anything to do with the wiki page or any FB pages about the SRHM, just my own website.

Thanks Seagull for info,

I used to live across from George Washington HIgh School and the death of Nancy Patricia Gidley always kind of stuck with me. I actually find SRHM the more interesting case between SRHM and Zodiac.

Hi, just wondering since I’m new to this the average time frame for known serial killers first kill to their second kill and so on and so forth. Lets say one year and then six months and then three months, does it work like that.? Check out some deep- south Santorini Haiti religion and RussDizdar has a good site ShatterThe Darkness . Net that might have some clues for pictures and such. Thanks.

I think the timing between victims is an individual thing to each specific serial killer and a correlation can’t be made, each case is unique. I know graysmith wrote a lot about the victims in the Zodiac case being murdered close to pagan holidays like the winter solstice or spring equinox but I’m not into the metaphysical aspect of the zodiac case and I’m sure there are more qualified people here to answer that question.

Here is a good site on serial killers. It’s a study done by Radford University. Read the statistics and presentation which give general info. The Serial Killer Timelines are a run down on individual serial killers beginning with the timeline for each serial killer followed by that individual’s general info and background.

http://maamodt.asp.radford.edu/Serial%2 … iption.htm

Also the FBI website has a very comprehensive page on serial killers, their habits and myths about serial killers.
