I’m surprised that this hasn’t gotten much attention on there, but on Tom V.s most recent podcast Murder Basement, he claims that he has found definitive evidence that Bates is a confirmed Zodiac crime, and that he is going to change his website to reflect that change. He also tries to connect Cheri Jo and Cecilia using Riverside as the fulcrum.
He claims that there is a "top secret report" from a secret inter-departmental taskforce that calls CJB a confirmed Zodiac crime, and that Riverside PD and Chief Kincaid knew until the 1980’s that CJB was confirmed Zodiac murder, but intentionally acted dismissive to try and draw out the suspect.
Any thoughts?

I don’t have much thoughts of the manner in which Voigt has come to his recent conclusions, I figure he has multi decades of knowledge and has put a lot of thought into it amongst other things and i readily accept it. I’m surprised no one is really talking about it because it really changes the entire narrative of The Zodiac case.
For instance, If i’m not mistaken it was a 9-10inch shoe print believed to be the perps found at the scene of CJB? That’s considerably small in comparison to LB.
I’m sure i’ll be corrected if i’m mistaken but LB the killer wore a shoe sized US12-13~ and CJB a US8-9~.

I always thought there was a lot left unsaid about the CJB case. I mean there seemed to be a disconnect between the evidence we have and the acceptance of the connection, as if there was some mysterious source… if any of that makes sense. No smoke without fire? lol

Bates was a confirmed victim until the 1980s revisionism & Bud Kelly’s Bob Barnett blinders. I believe that’s all Voigt was saying there.
So, where to start…
– Voigt seems to have embraced Ray Grant’s abduction theory (or part of it).
– Cecelia as the final female victim seemingly contradicts Voigt’s own assertions about "confirmed Sacramento activity." It was widely assumed he was referring to Bennalack and Hakari.
– I suppose we can pray that someone asks Bryan about the disabled cars during his next TV or print interview.
– Voigt has seemingly dismissed Domingos and Edwards as Ground Zero after years of supporting the SB connection (now it’s Riverside).
– Cheri’s mother died in a rest home. So you’d have to factor that into any Z-related angle.
I, personally, have been pro-Bates connection in the past, and believe that Zodiac may have stalked Cecelia. So, I look forward to wherever this goes.
So, according to this report, latent fingerprints were found at the CJB scene. Is there any indication that they were run against the prints at the other crimes?

Re the Bates case:To me, it’s obvious her killer was a Riverside resident, probably attended Ramona High when Cheri was a student there; and had extensive knowledge of the RCC campus and library. Question: is the list of students who attended the library the night Cheri was murdered available for us to consult?

a color photo of Cheri’s VW Beetle parked in front of her house and was surprised to see the color of her car is WHITE not
lime green as has been reported by many on several different websites/books. (lots of misinformation out there !)

It was a size 10 military dress shoe at Riverside and a 10 1/2 wing-walker boot at Berryessa. That’s close enough in size to me someone might wear both and also someone might wear a larger size in a boot.
I still want to know who that shoe salesman was.

Photo looks colour shifted toward magenta. Often happens over time. There could also have been a white balance issue with the original. Not unusual in those days. Based on this photo, the car could very well be lime green.

The photo has green plants in the background… so i dont see how the car would be lime green and appear white even in relation to the greenery beside it.. ? the car would appear to be white or certainly a very light colour indeed.
The plants look shifted as well.
I disagree, the car is white, I think the greenery beside it provides enough contrast to prove this !
Maybe Tahoe27 could e-mail Cheri’s brother to confirm this one way or the other ?

I believe the DOJ report says that it was a Goodrich sole used on size 8, 9 and 10 shoes. I don’t care about the half size difference, so I’d give it a 1 in 3 chance of being the same shoe size.
