The pictures that I have seen of the desks , they looked like the kind I had and those did not fold, you just slide into them. Regardless if it did fold or not ,it was probably done in that storage room, away from anyone walking in on him.
My guess as to how it was possible for someone to write all of that without being seen? Is that it was already in the storage room because of the construction work being done at that time.
In the storage room that desk was turned upside down, that was how the writing was spotted.

Again it is only speculation, but anyone who was there working construction ,or a night janitor would have access to that room. The person who wrote it ,wanted it to be seen and left it upside down.
He would have waited for everyone to go home, so he could do his writing.

If he was one of the workers, he could stay behind putting his equipment away and washing up. I wonder if the police questioned the person who found it?

If the desk/desktop poem was found in the library storage room that would point strongly to Ross Sullivan, being an employee
of the RCC library he would have had access to the library storage room and therefore the opportunity and privacy to write it.

I thought Ross just hung out at the library , I didn’t remember he worked there? Even if he did work there, his handwriting is not a match to Zodiac’s, so he couldn’t be the person who wrote that poem. As large as Ross was, I doubt there would have much of a struggle for him to be her killer.

The librarians letter about her suspicions that Ross murdered Cheri Jo indicated that Ross was a library employee.

How do you know his handwriting is not a match ? all we have is his SS application form from the 1950s with a very small
sample of his writting.

A sample of Ross’ handwriting (from his SS application) compared to Zodiac’s.

It’s not much but sure raises an eyebrow.

I know its not much to compare, but the 8’s alone are so far off I just don’t see him as the writer. I am pretty sure that the librarian reported her thoughts to RPD, they would have to look into him and being he was not arrested, I doubt he looked good to them either.

They have some very good DNA of Cheri Jo’s killer, why the heck don’t they do like what was done in the GSK case? It seems like the most logical thing to do !

Maybe they are and we just don’t know about it?

That’s what I’m hoping for, hopefully they are searching through his family tree as we speak !

It could be a matter of finances and priorities. I’m sure Riverside has a backlog of cold cases and are trying to get to them all, it costs money though and they are probably just doing a few at a time, it will depend on where the CJB case is on the priority list.

Also, I’m guessing that especially since the GSK case was solved DNA labs are swamped with cold cases from all across the country.

It would be reassuring to know if there is new DNA testing in Cheri’s case, but that could tip off the killer on an impending breakthrough.

For the same reason Vallejo PD’s silence on the stamp testing might be a good sign.

Question: Cheri’s DNA Sample: are the results automatically forwarded to the FBI or does RPD have discretion?

Sacramento DOJ I heard has most of the information on Zodiac. SFPD still has what I gave them in their evidence room, so just what was sent to DOJ I have no clue?
I remember reading years ago, that DOJ wanted everything kept in one place.

My guess about Cheri Jo’s DNA, is that RPD would do what ever is needed in their Lab in Orange county and do like Sacramento did with their DNA, to catch the GSK. It seems that everything is being handled in Sacramento on that case.

It wouldn’t be a good idea for RPD to announce that they are going after their killer. He could destroy any evidence he may have or leave the country.

That was why I flipped out about VPD when they announced they were going after Zodiac. I let them know that it could compromise the case. Just because they believe Zodiac has died, he may still be alive and now he knows he has to get out of dodge and destroy any evidence that he probably has.
I like the idea that we have not heard anything about that DNA yet, that is a good thing.

They have a building called, Ralph H. Bradshaw Student Center Building. It is at Riverside College. Ralph H. Bradshaw was Riverside College superintendent in 1966-1967. I thought it might be of some interest because of the initial is his name. Who knows but what do we know of this man?

Check out the very bottom of page 13. It speaks for itself.

Put this in Google search:

Check out the picture of R H Bradshaw in 1984 getting a plaque when they named a building after him. He is in a wheelchair in the photo and he looks like he is in sad shape.

Apologies if this has been addressed somewhere but are there references to poetry or poets in any of the letters or cracked ciphers? If this is Z it seems off for him to write this poem but have little to no interest in it otherwise if that’s the case.
