You are correct they do look very much alike, remember that the address book did belong to Jim before it ended up as Darlene’s. Then it was used by Dean ferrin after she was killed.

I have a copy of all the pages that were made available by Robt. Graysnith who still had the missing pages when I spoke to him just after Un-Masked came out around 2002.
He told me the missing pages were in pencil and hard to read. (I would still like to have those missing pages)

I am not sure how I missed a address that you show above when looking through the address book many times before. But the address 2 Spruse st SF ,is a address that I have looked into, because the back door of that huge home leads to the JK playground! I have looked at the occupants of that home for 1969 -70. None of them had the last name of Gear. The back door is 3421 Pacific Ave faces he Julius Kahn playground sign directly. The address of the playground is 3420 Pacific Ave.

There was a down stairs apt that has a large bay window where "someone" could watch everything that went on there the night of Oct 11 1969. I have been in that home for a auction of the estate items. I had a strange feeling when I looked out of the windows that faced the playground, that made me think what if this was the window Zodiac watched everything that night? ( It was the perfect spot ) The owner of the home was the owner of Filmer Bros.Press , Taylor and Taylor. If Zodiac did walk down Maple towards the playground, he only had to walk a few steps to the right to that back door 3421 Pacific ave and disappear. The name Paula Gear is on my list now of things to do !

Correction, I saw the address as SF Spruce st but it was really 2 Spruce Vallejo . Paula Grear Has passed away . She was born in Dallas TX Dec 27 1947. She was divorced in Shasta Co. Aug 1977. She lived in Vallejo 1966 to 74 then in Benicia 1991 and was a student in Vallejo. She was Darlene’s age, so could have gone to school with her? She had one son one daughter.

Another thing that I found in her book was the name Claudia ( girls name for sure) but instead of a girl at that phone number 234-0654 and address was a mans name Claude L. Bowman with a wife’s name of Allene. I wonder if Dee was covering up that name with a female name , and why

Due to my recent research "Claudia" turn out to be the daughter of Claude L. & Allene Bowman.
"Claudia" was born October 11, 1944 and Darlene was bord March 17, 1947, so Claudia was 3 years older than Darlene.

Allene Bowman Resident of Santa Rosa Allene Bowman, born June 26, 1921 to a hard scrapple life as one of 14 children on a farm in Belpre, Kansas. She survived the "Dust Bowl"and the"Great Depression". She came to California during World War II after marrying her sweetheart from Kansas, Claude Bowman, who was serving in the U.S. Navy in 1942. After the war Claude & Allene settled in Richmond, CA where they raised their family. Allene worked full time as a Medical Office Manager while maintaining the household and raising two daughters in the ’50’s & ’60’s. In her "spare time" she canned the produce that Claude raised in their garden. Her berry pies made from the berries Claude grew were the besther baking unsurpassed. She raised her family with ironed sheets, starched pillow cases and a home that was impeccably maintained. After their retirement they settled in Santa Rosa in 1975. Allene was fiercely independent and maintained her home and garden in Santa Rosa well into her 80’s. Allene’s friends, neighbors and family were of great importance to her and she touched many lives with her kindness and consideration. Allene is survived by her daughters Claudia Bowman, her granddaughter, Lily Bowman of Oakland & Sandi Bowman of Santa Rosa. She was of the "Greatest Generation". She will be missed and she will be remembered. Allene passed away on June 22, 2011 just four days before her 90th birthday. Thanks TF, I had posted about finding that name on Zkiller.com many trs ago, but hadn’t found the daughter. I thought Darlene was covering the father for whatever reason as well as a few others.
I am glad you have cleared that up.

I lived in Richmond before I moved to Napa and worked in Vallejo, so I knew where that area well.

As soon as I get the courage to call her I will, she has been at the same address for 14yrs! She may have some good information about Darlene’s stalker?
