Early the next morning Apollo 8 was launched, the mission on which the famous "earthrise" picture was taken. It became the basis of a stamp with the caption "In the beginning…" which Zodiac used on one of his letters.
Agree with you about the two young people. You think of everything they and their families missed out on because of Zodiac. It’s good people like yourself keep a focus on the victims.
Still pretty darn sad…

I just hope it gives Dave and Betty, and their families, some solace that were are still after the son of a bitch who killed them, and will never quit.
In the midst of all the fascination and mystery towards the killer, one easily becomes blind to the humane suffering of the victims and their families. I recall that Betty Lou’s mother was never quite the same after her daughter’s death.
Rest in peace Betty Lou and David, I truly hope one day the person who ended your lives will be named.
