Just curious, not sure we have ever seen this before, but, was there any known procedure protocol for Donna at the casino? Would she have to report to a supervisor on her way in or out of work? Did she have to punch a clock, etc? Also, as long as I have been going to casinos, they have always had surveillance cameras. Anybody know if that casino had them, and if they were checked after Donna vanished?
Alot is always made about the last log in her entry that appears to trail off as if she was grabbed or interrupted, but I think there is some evidnce to suggest that Donna made it home that night, and was attacked when she got home. If this is true, neighbors, landlord, etc could be likely suspects, but then again, she could have been followed. Her car was in the parking lot at her home, was it not? If she was attacked by somebody at the casino she knew, why would they go thru all the trouble of taking her car home? If she was attacked by a stranger at the casino, how would they know where she lived to take her car home, and why would they bother?
I personally think she made it home, and was attacked in her home. Maybe the mystery caller wanted to buy time and called in so nobody would come looking for her,and maybe wanted to clean the crime scene, etc.
Also, important to note, Donna was new to both her job & her apartment. It doesnt seem as if a long time stalking would have been likely, but rather, somebody she had recently come into contact with may be more likely. She could have also been the victim of a random stranger attack, but then again, when is the last time a random stranger called in to say the victim would not be at work? No, it’s pretty clear to me, the caller knew Donna in some way, and she likely knew him,at least casually. I also would love to know if she had any friends or relatives in Vallejo. I seem to remember Tahoe finding something that may have linked Donna to Vallejo, but cant remember the dtails.

Here is some info I found on another website, posted by nickname "JonathanVonErich" :

"Back in the early 2000’s Donna’s older sister Mary was still trying to find answers about the disappearance of her younger sister. Here is some interesting facts she have shared to an investigator:
Mary confirmed,as she read Donna’s log, that there was a crooked line going downward as she was writing in her log ‘patient complains of’….
The last name in the log, which the SLTPD claims to have lost(!),was Joan Bentley of S.F.She has been contacted and has said Lass was in a good mood and spoke of a raise($50.00 a mo.) the casino had given her, etc. She appeared fine when Ms.Bentely left her around 1:40 AM or so.The crooked line at the end of her uncompleted sentence might suggest that she was abducted from work between 1:40 and 2:00 AM while writing in the log, unless she was actually seen leaving and/or signed/punched out. The bag of clothes suggests to me that her abductor returned sometime later and left them there while no one was about. So in my opinion it means that her abductor was very familiar with the place where she was working and that he knew her very well. There’s a great chance that she was indeed abducted while she was working and since nobody saw anything it’s even more logical to think that her abductor knew the place very well, was probably working there too, or worked there at one point."
Hi, english is not my first language so please bear with me
Thanks for sharing that Foreigner. She was happy and talked about a raise! Seems like an unlikely candidate to want to drop into hiding or harm herself.

Donna left her car at home because she was to meet her friend JoAnne at work. JoAnne was going to drive back them back to the apartment because it made more sense for them. Donna liked to gamble and they were going to hang out at the casino before going back to the apartment. It was easier for JoAnne to find the casino than the apartment. JoAnne told this directly to me. She was nervous about driving up so late and parked right in front of the Sahara.
I believe Donna’s light was left on because she knew it would be late when they came back…and so clean, not only because she was a clean person herself, but because it was her first night there.
Donna also spoke to her friend about looking forward to winter and wanting to ski.
I often wonder if she was employed directly through the Sahara Hotel Casino of if it was a private contract type situation. Probably for the hotel. I don’t think I have read anything about her having to clock in & out. As far as the pen dragging down the page, I guess I’d have to see it for myself. Not that I don’t believe it.
Cameras are everywhere now, but then, probably just the tables. Part of the reason I think someone wanted to buy time was because after a few days, those cameras (back then) probably would have been recorded over.
Donna had lived in Tahoe for about 3 months having worked at the Sahara during that time. All it takes is one incident for someone to snap.
Hmm,I wonder if anybody else knew about the plans for Joanne to drive Donna home?

Something I think that could be found out from her if say, they offered Donna a lift and she declined using that fact as the excuse? A scenario that would point to someone she knew.
