Just been looking through the Sierra Clubs monthly meeting minutes. It seems that the Sierra club who normally meet in San Francisco actually had their monthly meeting at the Clare Tappan Lodge, Donna Pass, Lake Tahoe on the 19-20 September. Very interesting coincidence especially when you look at this clip from their 1969 minutes.
The Peek through the pines postcard must have some revelance to this.
It is also worth noting that the font used on the card “around in the snow” which has previously been accredited to the San Fran Chronicle is also used for amendments and additions on the minutes.
