I think Johns was likely kidnapped by Z. Why? Because her incident happened in March,1970. The news articles also ran about her case in March 70. If you are Z, wand want to steal the limelight and attention from that, then you claim responsibility for it while it’s fresh. Z didn’t do that, he waited 4 months. The only reason he would wait that long in my opinion, is because he may have been worried his door was going to get kicked in soon after the Johns case & article. After a few months, he feels safe that if they were going to kick in his door, they would have already done it, and he finally writes the letter taking responsibility for it.

This is the exact reason I think he would absolutely wait. Claim it while it’s fresh and the guy gets caught? Would just confirm Zodiac was full of it.

Well..I think someone should ask them at least. Maybe someone living nearby or at least being a native speaker, not calling 45-digit numbers to get into their hotline..Welsh? ;)

Well I am lost now

"I think someone should ask them at least." Who’s Them?

"Maybe someone living nearby…" I live nearby lot’s of thing, tad more specific plz lol.

"or at least being a native speaker." Native of…..? If French, can’t help you.

"not calling 45-digit numbers to get into their hotline..Welsh? ;)" I don’t call them types of numbers anymore. Not since my wife answered the last one. We’re divorced now. :D

Well it is not so hard to understand. In some countries/states there is one car registration admin, such as Flensburg in Germany etc..me personally, not living in the States, don’t have any idea if this is/has been in LA or SF or whatever. Nearby, therefore, is nearby this admin building with all the data and archives in it. Native speaker? Me neither, rather German. Long distance calls..urrrgh..long digit numbers, well.

But the question is not about long distance calls or what the fuck do I write (sorry bit p…. off because of other stuff), rather than where the calif license plate central administration is and who, eventually, walks in there and asks on of them for further mail communication regarding CDM 825..anyway.

Do forgive me it is my ignorance of The Legislative Vehicle Statutes and Acts of Europe simply because I am British and don’t need to know them. (Yes, that really was sarcastic I know lol).
Good job you are not a journalist/reporter. If you were asked to interview a Muslim Mosque Leader and what the Islamic Faith means you would ask "So your an Islamic preacher in Down Town New York Mosque? That’s wonderful. So i’m sure the viewers are dying to know…..What first drew you to the Holy Bible and to accept Jesus as your Saviour?

And yes, international calls make numbers so much longer and complex. Anyone wishing to call a UK resident from outside Britain is first required to press ’44’ before dialing the persons number. Two extra numbers!! Shocking!

As for me, I’ll give it a try in person but I can’t till a few months from now (for legal and financial reasons).

I think Johns was likely kidnapped by Z. Morf, when you’re right, you’re right. Let’s ignore for the moment that Z picked up any info via newsprint or police radio etc., why would Ms. Johns give such an account, and a pretty terrifying one at that!? Remember the couple in New England that had to be "hypnotized" to "remember" their "alien " encounter? This account is light years, from that kind of thing. Moreover, she gave descriptions of the inside of the alleged Z car, with details of children’s clothing in the rear seat, I don’t find myself to be a generally gullible sort, but something in her testimony rings true, i.e. he had "deadpan" eyes, etc. That detail is no mere embellishment, or fabrication, nor did law enforcement (who, fairly often, though, yes, not always) tend to be intuitively correct about these sorts of accounts, think so either . Unless, someone come up with a credible, (not far-fetched [n.b. serial killers blend in, and this one has blended more than most] suspect, I think Johns’ testimony stands.

I believe 100% she had an encounter with someone, but remembering childrens’ clothing and the inside of his car? Unless someone else had seen the same thing…again, it doesn’t amount to much.

None of the confirmed people attacked by Z saw the inside of his car.

Tahoe, I think your posts are more often than not, lively and interesting. On the KJ isssue, though, I have to side with Morf. Agreed, it’s "not much" in the specific, "smoking gun" sense that I take you to mean. However, in direct contrast to the curse of our infernal, post-CSI, Law & Order, etc. "ripped-from-the-headlines" age, reality tends to be far more messy, intractible, and complex than either of those visually dazzling presentations, put more bluntly–more than we,
in our incurable amore-propre, would prefer our individual, or collective sense of the world to be. Not only do most things not sort themselves out in 60 minute or 120 minute episodic fashion– though detectives, professional or amateur would very much want it so (and historians out of business!)–very little in the tangle of life or our thoughts about life make it less so. I can simply call a truce, and agree to disagree on this.

Though one messy……..etc. fact remains, that none other than the person who called self Z. corroborated Ms. Johns’s story! Not me, you, Graysmith (though he deserves credit for bringing, and keeping this event, to the fore), or even law enforcement officials (who interestingly, did not prod or provoke Ms. John’s ID, it was simply hanging on the wall at the stationhouse). Could someone taken credit for doing what Z did? Its possible, but unlikely. I insist John’s first-hand testimony, unfiltered by any of our preferences, predilections, or dismissals, remains among the most, if not the most compelling, glimpse into the Z case.

P.S. I hope other posters will bear with my boldfacing, I have taken to doing this to strive for proper attribution of source.

I’ve said before, I personally believe Kathleen Johns, for me it sounds like a car ride with my suspect.
She describes the inside of his mother’s car which he drove often, including with me, sometimes frightening rides.
This car has black bucket seats with a center console.

Onewhoknows, do you have any photos of your suspect circa ’67’-70?
