Silky’s “ racing silks” were a very interesting pattern as well.
It was before KQ owned him… not sure if it’s in Mike’s book or not, but I think it is in KQ’s Autobiography if I’m not mistaken?
Looks like a checkered flag which would make sense for KQ, but that was before KQ owned him? The other horse is most likely just a pacer, or trainer’s horse.
It doesn’t look like a checkered flag, period wise.
They were much like today’s … standard checkerboard.

Yeah, I see what you mean.
"The interview went along with a dreary trot". Corresponds with descriptions of Zodiac’s "monotone" speaking voice.
Hi,
So weird as a horse player to see people riding without helmets lol. Racing has come a long way.
Be careful Jacob or you may start sounding as if you think Qvale may have been Zodiac lol.
BTW, my own opinion is that Silky meant more to Qvale than any person in the world. If you read the tribute he wrote to his wife in his autobiography, you’ll see what I mean.
But in that book, you’ll see a color photo where KQ bought clothes that matched Silky’s coat. He truly identified with that horse. With people? Described a very aloof.
