I recently stumbled upon this article about the 1965 reunion of the Qvale brothers in Hawaii when I was doing research on KQ’s favorite brother, Bjarne. Seems like this only made the news because Bjarne lived in San Rafael.

This naturally (??) led me to search for possible connections between Z, KQ and Hawaii.

Don’t Take Pork Across The Pali

Pele’s influence is everywhere in Hawaii, but perhaps the strangest manifestation of her wrath is the myth that you can’t take pork over the Pali Highway, which connects Honolulu with the windward side of Oahu. Apparently Pele and the demigod Kamapua‘a (a half-man-half-pig) had a bad breakup and agreed never to visit each other. If you try to bring pork over the Pali, you are symbolically trying to bring Kamapua’a from one side of the island to the other and Pele will stop you. If you do try, according to legend, your car will stop at some point on the journey and an old woman will appear with a dog. You have to feed the pork to the dog in order to continue through.

Was the Stine murder Z’s homage to the legend, wrapped in a massive taunt? In a "KQ as Z" scenario, this explains his otherwise baffling behavior: heading back outside with his dog, after having just "stopped" a taxi, seemingly waiting for the "pork" to arrive. It even harkens back to the weirdness of "female" being checked off on his S.S. app, but I’m not going to push that angle.

Interesting take you have there…i can sorta buy into x’s brother involved in stine and running into big brothers house….the whole z affair may have been a pack mentally involving the x family…keeping it real and in the family sorta thing..if you entertain multiple z theory one almost has to come to this conclusion…x bros took risks and they liked adventure..i could eadily see sport killing as part of there fortay..
