Is that from Penn? The "water sign" and numerology sound like him, although I don’t think he was that concerned with astrology.

My POI (hate that term!) is 71.

He is still out there.

Most likely that he was 30-35 (or around that) in 1969 so he should be (around) 78-83 years old now, if he made it through the 1970s. I believe that he died in around 1990/1991 as he no longer trolled the San Francisco Chronicle.

I do not have one ounce of doubt that he is alive and still killing. Like I have said time after time, he is a cowardly killer and is too scared to prove he is still alive.

In spite of what Dave Toschi believes , he does not want to be caught. If he did he would have been caught yrs ago, Duh !

As most of you know I have a suspect who is still alive, who has confessed to killing over 12 other females in the mid 80’s to mid 90’s, in the Antioch/Pittsburg Ca. area.
He told the police he is Zodiac, but they chose not to believe him.The sister of one of those victims Teresa Colleen Brown, I believe has contacted Morf and said she believes the Zodiac is who killed her sister.

I saw my suspect a few weeks ago, so I know he is still alive. I have contacted one of the retired detectives on those murder cases and asked him if he knows of any new victims in that area? I am waiting to hear back from him.
My suspect goes quite for many months then resurfaces, he is back right now. I get calls, but he no longer will say anything, knowing that I recorded him in the past. DOJ told me I can’t do that or they will arrest me.

Yesterday I received a copy of a Sept 1977 Star newspaper article titled : "Lone Cop vows to hunt down Son Of Sam style killer on the west coast"It was about Toschi , who described the killer as being in his 50’s, 6ft tall, 200 pounds, with reddish brown hair, glasses and a protruding stomach. Sounds like he went with the oldest description from the Stine case which was 45 and Hartnell’s taller,heavier description of the "younger" sounding man? The likelihood of that person Toschi described to be alive is rather slim. I have to go along with the killer being more like 30 in 1969 not 45. At 78 yrs old he could easily be alive.

Sandy, were those the prostitutes found murdered on that back road in Pittsburg, in an old industrial area, I think it ran parallel to Highway 4? So that killer has never been caught either?

Not an expert here, but serial murderers usually don’t stop unless their caught, killed or dies. Or he began killing outside of the Zodiac mask and reputation. Which I doubt, because Z put way to much work into this and I believe he was obsessed with what he was doing to take on another character or whatever. And just stopping while he was ahead, doesn’t seem likely. I think he died or got locked up. Would be great if he was alive and caught and had to stand trail for all the pain he caused and is still causing. Not just in the lives of those he killed and their family and friends, but the countless ppl who have all but lost their lives investigating this case.

I think he’s been dead for some time. He loved the media attention too much to keep quiet for this long.

A serial killer is a person who murders three or more people in service of some abnormal psychological gratification. He/she is gaining somthing by killing. For some serial killers it’s sexual in nature and in my opinion, these people never stop, but for others it could involve anger, thrill-seeking, financial gain, and attention seeking. While its possible the Zodiac died, ended up in prison or a mental institution, its just as possible that he fullfilled whatever psychological gratification he needed filled and just quit killing.

Personally, I think he just quit killing. I think he was an angry, attention seeking killer who wanted to be known for something other than what or who he was. If he was the guy I think did the deed he ultimately used his experience for financial gain.

Hi, i personally think that it is possible that Zodiac still lives. I think that Zodiac could have been "group", and that some of them could still be alive. Then comes the question "why he stopped writing", maybe he didnt, or maybe he just tried to be invisible. I think that if Zodiac is still alive and healthy (he is most likely 70-85years old) he will do one last Zodiac appearance, when he knows that there is not a lot of time to live.

I could make a separate thread for this question, but I may as well ask it in this one: if Zodiac is alive and was arrested and charged in the near future, how would he react to being finally brought to justice?

Would he own up to his crimes and attempt to explain them, flatly deny them, or play dumb and confused like Joseph DeAngelo?
