Michael Rosen, who did the Ross Sullivan article for the now defunct, RATTER.COM, is doing a new article on the whole ‘TED CRUZ IS ZODIAC’ nonsense. He wants to hear from Zodiac researchers to hear their opinions about the subject. He asked me to reach out to interested people on the site, and said it was okay if I shared his email which is:
michael.rosen@fusion.net
Feel free to email Michael and express your opinion about the Ted Cruz/Zodiac stuff

Right, it is nonsense, nothing more than a childish attempt to make fun of a conservative presidential candidate. So why give it any credence whatsoever?
I know it’s your site and you can do with it as you please, but aren’t there rules about staying away from politics? This has absolutely nothing to do with Z, or anything even remotely close. In fact it has nothing to do with reality, period. And, no, there isn’t any humor value either, considering the (at least) 5 dead victims.

I agree 100% with you,and although this deals with politics, it’s Z related, and NOT a political discussion. That being said,Rosen wants to gauge if people are annoyed by it. I personally am, it’s disrespectful to the Victims, but in a way, I want to chime in to tell people just how stupid & disrespectful it is

This type of "joke" has been done before:
http://www.theonion.com/article/dick-va … ings-33318
It works better when 1) the accused was alive at the time of the crimes, 2) it’s clear that it is a joke.
I’m not sure how the Cruz stuff is supposed to be funny. He’s already very unlikable.
Stuff like this is disrespectful to the victims. The irony is, so was the Ratter stuff. It was click bait that attempted to turn Z into a comic book character. Cartoon drawings and all.
I agree 100% with you,and although this deals with politics, it’s Z related, and NOT a political discussion…
If a bunch of people claim that Hillary Clinton is Satan, and then go around trying to get as much traction as possible through various websites, blogs, chat rooms and so on, would that be politics, or theological discourse?
I get Zodiac Google alerts and I have never had as many alerts on a single issue involving Zodiac as this particular one. Even the media blitz of the Earl Best Jr. accusations didn’t generate as many alerts and there were plenty of those.
I think the whole thing showcases how little people pay attention to details, like the huge one that Cruz wasn’t born when the murders happen. Here we are in another presidential election cycle and before the Florida primary 38% of Florida voters thought that it could be true, Cruz was the Zodiac Killer. It shows us to be a nation of sheep who believe the internet blindly, without question. Very disheartening.
I don’t think that this "joke" is any worse than the multitude of people who have accused their relative, friend, or whoever of being Zodiac with the slimmest of evidence and then publicized the accusation with a book or a media blitz. As far as I know the Cruz thing wasn’t done to make a buck, it just seemed to show how gullible people can be.
If Mr. Rosen wants to waste his time pursuing nonsense, fine by me. But I do object when he attempts to waste MY time!

Marshall it’s only political if you make it political.
No one here is stumping for a candidate and the only issue being discussed is our opinion about a specific misguided rumor.

Of course it’s political; it’s not an innocent "misguided rumor," when you’re saying 38% of Florida voters are gullible enough to have it negatively affect their opinion of the candidate. If the rumor was that Eddie Munster was Z, THAT would not be political.
Reminds me of the "When did you stop beating your wife" question. The question itself casts the accused in a negative light, no matter what the response. Accusing someone of being a mass murderer does the same.
Intelligent people need to ignore this crap, not fall for the trick of repeating it, keeping it alive. I’m not saying there is political bias here, I am saying that calling Ted Cruz Z, or Hillary Clinton Satan, is of course, obviously political and should have no place here. But, this isn’t my site and the owner can post whatever he wants, so I’ll not comment on it further.
I would imagine it all started as satire and stupid people bought into it. I just ignore it and think others should too. It is silly.
It reminds me of when many people, reacting to Rick Santorum’s anti-gay views, created a new and filthy definition for "santorum" as the top result in google searches for the name.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Campaign_ … _neologism
I think the Santorum and Cruz things are examples of "hacktivism". They began as small online acts of protest that have gained a lot of traction.
Ted Cruz was born December 22, 1970 (age 45 years).
To foster any recognition of the impossible and therefore ridiculous detracts from the credibility of this site.
Not to mention, possibly opening up this site and its members for the potential of slander.
I think this site is dedicated to the honest beliefs and effort of "real possibilities", however, improbable.
I am not interested in utter bs.

Exactly. Whoever started this whole thing needs to be Zodiac’s next victim!
A few minutes ago on a toilet not very far, far away….
It’s part of the dumbing down of America
Clearly everyone here hates it. But I suppose there could be something sociologically speaking about why it has become a popular meme.
It deals with the nature of celebrity, and political attack ads, and good old fashion conspiracy theory, all classic American media.
Also I guess Ted Cruz does kind of look like the SF sketch, which is relevant to us insofar as it shows the ambiguity of making an ID based on that.
