So many names connected with this case are passing away which shows how old the case is. I don’t really think Lyndon’s Suspect was z, but applaud his efforts to solve the case and wish the best to his Family and friends

I was introduced to Lyndon in March 1990 and in that time we became very good friends even though he had a different suspect than I did. He was always interested in what I had to say about the case and told me more than once that I knew the case better than he did.
He gave me the tools to try and break the 340, he knew code very well ! I do still work on it from time to time. The last time I saw Lyndon was a few weeks ago, we still talked about the case and the codes.
He seemed to be improving , but then he took a turn for the worse. He was a wonderful kind and thoughtful man.
I just did a post expressing my feelings over at Zodiackiller.com, so I don’t have much to say about him again here. My eyes are so swollen from crying that I can barley see to post more. All I can say is I dearly loved him and will miss him terribly, but I will never ever forget him.
The Vallejo Times-Herald posted an article about him:

I am very sure that you doranchak have no idea why this article should never have been printed. Zamantha is too upset right now to post why this was wrong and has asked me to do it for her.
The Lafferty family buried their loved one today, only to go home and see the evening paper about what a wonderful husband, father, courageous man Lyndon was.
Then to read the name of the one person Lyndon didn’t care for at all in that same article on the very day he was buried, was so wrong of the reporter to print, as if the two were "friends" but disagreed on suspects.
They did not like each other, which put me in the middle because both were my good friends.
The reporter wrote that Lyndon went to a couple of Zodiac task force meetings, but what she probably didn’t know was that he went there to say hello to me, because he knew I would be there. He sat far away from the task force group.
It was a huge slap in the face to the Lafferty family, for the reporter to put that in the VTH on this very sad day.
There’s an article about Lafferty’s suspect..imo his suspect would’ve been too old, but who knows. Any idea who that person was?

Lafferty’s suspect was William Joseph Grant. There is a thread about him here-
Additionally, here is a contemporary picture of the man.
