I don’t know. So this guy’s father is a two bit criminal, and we’re to believe that those within the SFPD know his father was the Zodiac Killer, but SFPD wishes to protect this 2 bit criminal’s identity. And for what reason? And the victim’s and their families, SFPD just says to hell with them all, we have to keep this secret, cause we’re in the business of protecting murderers, and not bringing comfort to victim’s or their families.
And what about all the retired cops/detectives who would be in the know. Wouldn’t they write their own books and list names and evidence. And all these evil cop scenarios, why is it they only ever involve the SFPD? All the other LE agencies involved they don’t matter. To me, it’s an offensive scenario some portray.

This is what complicates and confuses and already complicated and confusing case to the person with a passing interest. So many claims made by ‘Experts’ that Zodiac was all these different people, each person totally confident they are correct. Then you have those who claim to ‘know’ such as retired LE people, so called experts, authors and others given credibility who all say Z is someone different.

Any discussion of this book going on elsewhere here or is this the main thread? A friend who does not follow this case said he heard about it online and it has apparently generated some interest in mainstream media, so just curious if folks here think this is worth looking into or not really. Thanks.

Didn’t SFPD say they tracked down/investigated over 3,000 leads on suspects? I think we can see how that’s possible via these boards. Kind of disheartening when you realize at any time there are that many nut jobs roaming about.

One of the things that struck me when originally reading all the police reports was the sheer number of people who thought their uncle/brother etc was capable of doing this. And the number of people who knew Arthur L Allen "liked kids too much" yet it wasn’t anything the police really worried about.

Yeah, I thought years ago with Druitt that since his family suspected him of JTR there MUST be something to it, but after all the Zodiac accusations from family members it seems like par for the course; people confess and people accuse, and likely none of those guilty.
