At night,in the right lighting, I could see the similarity between Berkowithz & the sketch. I wonder if we are dealing with a similar sketch situation at Washington & Cherry?? :o

Well if we are to go by Don Fouke’s reaction to the Presidio Sketch, then it’s not very likely to be an accurate resemblance to the man ‘Zodiac’. Fouke said when the composite first came out at Richmond Station that "He (man depicted in composite) looked similar to the man that I had seen on October 11th, but the suspect was older and heavier looking (than he appears in the composite)." If, and I stress IF, Fouke is accurate in that statement, then we can assume that both the facial shape and features are wrong, as well as the age of the depicted man. And if that be the case, the composite is pretty usless. The one thing that was always consistently said of Zodiac was that he was a heavy set, stocky individual with, according to Mageau, a large, rounded face. The man depicted in the Presidio Composite can hardly be described as having the appearance of a thick set, stocky individual, nor does he have Mageau’s round face. The man in the composite looks considerably slim, with a slim face, protruding check bones and even quite gaunt looking. It’s a shame this is the composite that went on to become the most well known one as the Berryessa sketch of a man thought to be Zodiac is far more likely to be an accurate depiction of Z and does fit Mageau’s ’round faced’ description, matches his weight far better, hair colour, everything.

"So it’s sorta social. Demented and sad, but social, right?" Judd Nelson.

Even Fouke said that Zodiac’s jaw was ‘full and rounded’. The Presidio Heights composite should be amended to have a jaw akin to that of the face in the Napa composite.
