Seagull, is the info in his article fairly correct? Trying to get up to date on the SRHM case and theories.
Visit my website, it has the most accurate info on the murders. The link is in my signature.
I understand Dag.. not trying to solve it just interested that the name of the undersheriff Bob Hayes (R H) who found the earing has the same name as in the 66 riverside year book.. .. just linking possibility’s.
And Seagull I did not go through all the posts I was not really concerned with this particular topic only that his name was in it and discovered the earing .. again all I was doing was linking this dudes name.. the chances of it being the same "Robert Bobby Hayes" ? "RH" from riverside slim.. butt yaa never know…
My apologies Mr. lowe, I read back over your post and then compared it to the post you quoted and it looks like there was a bad quote situation happening. The end portion
did not show up in your post so I thought most of the post was your doing. I see now that you contributed just the last paragraph.

How’s the Funding coming along for your documentary?

The whole project seems to have fizzled. It was never "my" project, I was asked to participate by the producer which I was more than willing to do.
That’s too bad seagull. I wonder why so much funding is/was needed?

Definitely too bad, seemed like a worthwhile project. Have you though of approaching ‘sponsors’? Like actual rich people, etc that may be able to add significant funds, and be attached to the movie as far as a credit, etc?

LOL Actual rich people! Maybe I should get ahold of Trump and tell him it would improve his image if he were to back a film about the SRHM. Seriously though, I don’t know that many rich people. I’m afraid any pleas by me for funding would come off like those emails I get from someone who wants to give me millions of dollars. I got one just this week from Richard M. Nickson, can you believe!
LOL, I meant producer types

Heck, nowadays people are filming movies on their iPhones! Documentaries can be shared publicly in many media arenas for free. Too bad it couldn’t still be carried out somehow.
you all missed the point on why I revisited this old topic
Last week, I read Maggie Nelson’s excellent memoir on the trial of her aunt Jane Mixer’s killer and the long shadow cast by the Michigan Murders over her family history. Seeing this thread become active again made me remember how John Norman Collins, the man in prison for the bulk of these murders, was long suspected of killing a teenage girl named Roxie Phillips in Salinas, CA. The probable scene of this crime was a stolen trailer later found wiped clean on the property of Collins’ college friend and California native Andy Manuel. Manuel was initially suspected as an accomplice but later passed an FBI polygraph. He was given one year’s probation for the trailer theft and I’m not sure what became of him afterwards.
The Santa Rosa murders, both in signature and victimology, are remarkably similar to the Michigan co-ed killings. If Manuel was indeed an accomplice of John Norman Collins, it may be worth seeing if he can be placed in Sonoma County during the time-frame of those murders.
EDIT:
I did some research and it appears that Manuel wound up in Arizona sometime after Collins’ conviction. It remains unclear whether he has any connection to Sonoma County.
