Episode 8 of Zodiac Speaking is out. ‘Mount Diablo, The Mikado, and more Mysterious Mailings’
Throughout 1970, the Zodiac continued to mail taunting letters, notes, and codes- some of it referenced Mount Diablo, and the Gilbert & Sullivan production, The Mikado. Meanwhile, in the SF Bay area and beyond, multiple letters and threats, though unconfirmed to be Zodiac, were quickly attributed to him.

Hi Morf,
I get a 404 screen (page cannot be found) when I click the link.
"Thing began to ring + that drew his attention to me"
Thanks
Looks like Morf’s link is malformed. The episode is indeed available – I navigated via the main site:

That was too much!
At the end of the episode, it’s important to remember a few things. Even if he could have copied a misspelling, the people who promote these copycat ideas always fail to point out the other aspects that are consistent as well, but never published or made public.
If Z copied a misspelling, he must have
-also really lucked out and just happened to make his envelopes in a very similar manner to the Riverside writer.
-Happened to use the ATTN the same way.
-Failed to use Zip code in the same way.
-He also nailed the unpublished Desktop Poem handwriting and signature "F"

Excellent point that Zodiac was likely an ‘underachiever’ in terms of his everyday, professional skill set. Zodiac’s criminal activity would have been far more consuming of his attentions than honing his business acumen.
Zodiac’s pathology likely considered his killing spree his true ‘career’ in life. His day job would be his ‘cover’.
That was too much!
If Z copied a misspelling, he must have …
Must have also known to us an emphasized circle, ᵒ, for dotting on the "i", as also seen on Hartnell’s car door and in other missives.
The ᵒ also appears in the colon by ‘ATTN:’.
That was too much!
Just listened to episode 8 as well as all of the previous podcasts….some twice….it has really helped me to understand the chronology of the events, ciphers, and communications….looking forward to the next one….great work guys……

I think this is a strong point. The natural progression of this line of thinking is that he became an "achiever," or even an "overachiever" in his everday life which led to his abandoning of the Zodiac persona. He no longer needed it in order to feel important.
