Morf, I have not been able to find any info that this man ever lived in Vallejo.
I have found a John E Hernden and Hildegarde Hernden living together on Taylor St in Vallejo in 1963, and they are not his parents bc his parents have other names than those listed in Vallejo.

Ok so in 1970 Robert Lee Hernden was listed at 1227 Taylor Av
And in 1963 John E Hernden and Hildegarde Hernden was listed at 1029 Taylor Av

Those two addresses are 7-8 houses apart, but John and Hildegarde Hernden are not Robert Hernden’s parents.
However the last name Hernden is a VERY VERY rare name only 110 persons listed, to an address, all together in California (in all years registrated in Californi at Ancestry) so it would be VERY odd if they were not family.

This means that RLH possibly had ties to Vallejo in 1968 and 1969, that he might have visited/vacation? etc John and Hildegarde Hernden in Vallejo in those years.

I also just found a picture of, I think, RLH at a California Berkeley University of California 1959 yearbook, looks like him, and the name is Bob Hernden, not sure though RLH was only 16 in 1959 and the other guys look a bit older.

Well, he was in the Navy, maybe he was in Vallejo area for Navy stuff? Also, he was a Vietnam vet, his military records may tell us more details, I think I may have them but if so, they are BURIED

If I had to guess, I would say it stood for warehouse manager.

Joe Stine..suddenly, on a lazy afternoon, he comes back into my mind. Let there be a guy, whose brother was killed in San Francisco, having ties to Vallejo (correct? If the street mentioned earlier in this thread is correct then it is directly behind Blue Rock Springs..). Let there be another (or the same) same guy running around like nuts, killing people in Vallejo and San Francisco. Let both of them have reddish to blond hair, welsh style, worn in a pompadour shape.

And then imagine one of the guys having the following scratches in his face. Who would you think had such scratches, the victims brother or the killer?

Looking at those scratches I would think that they must have hurt quite a lot. Three long scratches, starting from below the right eye down to his lips and even slightly further. Approximately half an inch wide, with bloody inner areas caused from fingernail tips. Whoever made that to Joe Stine, did not want him any good. And, imo, this could not have resulted from a simple slap (me had two or three hard ones, too, and none had left a single bit of a mark).

These scratches look as if someone had desperately tried to force Joe Stine off, holding his face with his or her left hand, thumb below his chin and grabbing his face with full force. Hurting someone like that is not only a defence action instead of a nomatterhowstrong facial slap but even shows that the defendant had clearly stepped over the line of not intending to hurt Joe.

Best view of the picture is on sort of a 50 inch screen with picture enlargement.

Furthermore Joe had ties to Modesto, where he finally died in 1981..

It is said that the picture was made during the interview regarding his brother’s death. What speaks for Joe is that he had held such an interview..on the opposite Z indeed was a bragger.

Going on the wild assumption that Joe Stine is Z and assuming that Z killed CJB then the scars on his face came from Cheri Jo.

Rather not, the wounds were quite fresh ones and as far as I know he had claimed that he had gotten slapped by a girl. CJB was three years earlier. Nevertheless I agree that CJBs situation would rather lead to such injuries than shooting Paul Stine into the back of his head.

Who slapped him ? Mike Tyson ? those wounds look like old healed scar tissue.

Some have argued those marks are oil. He was working at a garage.

We got into this big time in other threads. It did not go over too well. People don’t like others accusing a brother of any wrong doing. My thing is, more often than not, it IS a family member responsible. Those are the first people (generally) looked at. Cheri’s father and brother were considered by LE…why not Joe? Joe had is brother institutionalized so there was obviously some rifts among them.

Did you know Joe bought Paul the shirt he was killed in? Not that it means anything. Just thought it was interesting.
