Lyndon Lafferty’s book "Silenced Badge" draws links between a POI and the Sierra Club. However, the suspect, William J. Grant (known as "Andy Walker" in Graysmith’s book) was ruled out decades ago, so Lafferty’s angle is best taken with a humongous grain of salt.

On a side note–the Sierra Club had no South Shore (Lake Tahoe) offices at the time Donna Lass went missing. They had places of association on the North Shore, but nothing in South Lake Tahoe.

The Sierra Club began in San Francisco in the late 1800’s.

The judge referenced in Lafferty’s book (under the name Winston) was Raymond Sherwin, he was the 30th president of the Sierra Club from 1971-1973.

PBS did a several day documentary on the national park service recently. Was really good. You might find it on you tube. The sierra club is one of the main reasons we have a park service. The other being Theodore Roosevelt. While the documentary was about the parks they talked a lot about the sierra club and some of the higher ranking members. Come to think of it they talked about the railroads too which i think plays a part (the big dogs that is). Learned quite a lot about a couple of the higher ups that i hadnt already knew.

Anyway. Just something you might want to check out.
