PP: Another line to pursue might be books on the Norwegian language, runes, vikings etc. If Ross is indeed Z, he had to pick that stuff up somewhere. Of course, he could have just read the etymology for the word ‘slay’ in the dictionary.

maybe any books on VW cars and books with electronics with electric circuitry to do with photo electric light systems because im guessing the photo electric switching was a newish type product back then. anything to do with Gilbert and Sullivan.. and of course cypher code stuff.

Don’t know if this is the right site to ask this question, but will try, anyway. I’ve read–and I’m sure you have–that the RCC desktop poem was discovered anywhere from three to six months after Cheri’s murder. Can someone pleas nail down, for now and all time, just when the poem was discovered? Incidentally, I believe the poem was written before her death, but that’s a separate can of worms.

I’m sticking with December, 1966. I also believe it was written before her death and that the Author did not intend for it to be linked to himself

I just watched a YouTube video which fingers Sullivan for the Zodiac murders. The similarities in handwriting are uncanny. The video mentions the library women who were quit positive that Ross was the killer of Cheri Bates. Those women knew he was the culprit but fear of the murderer kept them quite. They knew he was a real creep.

The 22:58 video is the one. It was uploaded March 2015.

In the video the cops being interviewed by the tv newsmen at the time, mentioned the suspect was a larg man over 6 feet tall. Reddish hair is mentioned, with a very distinct "widows peak". also, the film mentions how Ross attended a wedding with Bates. That’s to much coincidence. I have always believed that finding the identity of the Zodiac, would be accomplished by solving the Bates murder.

Maybe they teased Ross at the wedding about why he hadn’t found a nice girl to settle down with. Perhaps Ross fantasized about himself with the attractive young Bates girl. Although he desired her, his self esteem was to low, to make a play for this girl. So instead, he decides to stalk and kill her. He can’t have her, and nobody else would either. He grew more obsessed with this young woman and became more angered he could not be with her. Finally, out of his mind with rage and unable to control himself, his bizarre arrest inside a phone booth is on record, he has interaction, in the only possible way he can contrive. He becomes her apparent savior, by offering to help her get her car started. Unfortunately, the only help Miss Bates received was having her head almost cut off. That act in itself is quite personal. An act of a raving madman.

Holmes that video is by member here, PaulAverly. I really like the video, not just as a Ross video, but as a Zodiac video. However, I do think PaulAverly made a few assumptions about Ross. I don’t know that we have any proof that Cheri & Ross both were at the wedding together, although it’s very possible,and pretty obvious they likely knew each other.
