TECHNOPHOBIA
Is the name of the novel written by Joe LaFollette in 1985, based on long conversations with his friend David Kaczynski. The plot is about a Berkeley professor who hates computers, in particular an artifical intelligence system named LAURA. He starts doing KNIFE MURDERS in a war against society.
Hmm, sounds like anyone David Kaczynski would have known?
The information from David is consistent with Ted doing knife based personal murders like Zodiac, or Valerie Percy, or others. Or was just a figment of David and Joe’s imagination.
When I personally asked David to give his DNA to be compared to what I thought was possible Zodiac DNA, David refused. He told me he didn’t think Ted was the Zodiac or Tylenol Killer, but he refused to give DNA on the grounds that Ted could be "exposed to a possible death penalty." Of course Ted would only face a death penalty if he actually was the Zodiac or Tylenol Killer.
The only copy of the book is in the Library of Congress.
Here is one of the very few excerpts I know of:

K = For example, a variety of noise-making devices: power mowers, radios, motorcycles, etc. If the use of these devices is unrestricted, people who want peace and quiet are frustrated by the noise. Manifesto, 1995.
When I see a motorcyclist tearing up the mountain meadows … I want to kick him in the face while he is dying. GX-2003F, p. 11.
Analysis: Both Zodiac and Kaczynski are annoyed by and comment on motorcycles making a loud noise.
Z = I shall (on top of every thing else) torture all 13 of my slaves that I have wateing for me in Paradice. Some I shall tie over ant hills and watch them scream & twich and squirm. Others shall have pine splinters driven under their nails & then burned. Others shall be placed in cages & fed salt beef untill they are gorged then I shall listen to their pleass for water and I shall laugh at them. Others will hang by their thumbs & burn in the sun then I will rub them down deep heat to warm them up. Others I shall skin them alive & let them run around screaming. The Mikado Letter, 1970.
K = I hadn’t previously been troubled by rats around here, but I just discovered that my pack has been chewed up so badly that it is nearly ruined … This means some deadfalls are going to be set. I hope I catch one of those [expletive] alive–I will torture it to death in the most fiendish manner I can devise. Journal entry, July 31, 1974.

Analysis: Both Zodiac and Kaczynski descibe hiding from and watching enemies behind forestry as from "cover", a military term.
Z = "was a negro about 40 -45 rather shabbly dressed." Zodiac Letter of August 4, 1969, to SF Examiner.
K = "their homes looked shabby". Technological Slavery, p. 397.
Z = BE SURE TO PRINT the part I marked out on page 3 or I shall do my thing.
K = BE SURE TO tell us where and how our material will be published and how long it will take to appear in PRINT once we have sent in the manuscript.
Z = ‘I am mildly cerous as to how much money you have on my head now?’ and ‘What is the price tag now?’.
K = ‘25,000 dollar reward offered. Rather flattering.’
Analysis: Both commented on their bounties in a boastful way.
Z = DANGEROUE. 408 Code
K = YESTERDAE. Unabomber Code
Analysis: Both Zodiac and Kaczynski have a code in which in order to increase difficulty of solution they change the last consonant (S, Y) in a word to the vowel "E".

One standout I have found is that Z always used a wide open 4. (that I have found) so far. The down stroke is right at the end. Ted nearly always used a closed 4. If you were disguising your writing it’s something I don’t think you would conciously do to the numbers, I think you would be more focused on the letters.

If you wish to disregard that both Z and TK created codes, designed bombs, made bomb threats, used crossed lines inside a circle as a signature, drew crossed lines inside a circle at a crime scene, used dozens of the same words and phrases and had handwriting matches like three stroke K’s, five stroke M’s, checkmark R’s, etc., etc., if you personally wish to disregard all that because Ted nearly "always" did a closed 4 and Z an open 4, than that is your right. You may disregard Ted. We will miss you, we will mourn your absence, but we will try to carry on. 
In all seriousness, if you or anyone wants to disregard Ted, or any other suspect, for any reason, it is OK by me.
I think it is silly to disregard a ton of evidence because of any one thing, but that is me.
You said Ted "nearly always" did a closed 4, well I think he usually did, but not always. This looks like an open 4 to me here, in the second line in the 1964. 
Zodiac often but not always did a 3 stroke "k", Kaczynski often but not always did a 3 stroke "k". Zodiac often did a 5 stroke "m", same as Ted. Other matches include the checkmark "r", short caps and bottom on the capital "I" and frequent cursive looped back on the "d". Look at Ted’s "k" in "Park" – a clear 3 stroke. Morrill said few people in the general population do 3 stroke "k" or 5 stroke "m" so those would be things he would look for. I also blew up the Ted letter to the boy.

The writing looks particularly Zodiac like to me, compare it to the Belli letter.

Wow very tender Mr Wilks ,Jeez I was only making an observation. Sure Ted did all that stuff. Just didn’t do the 4 right enough for me, but really hard to compare with the few known writings of Z. I do not profess to and am not disciplined in the art of forensic handwriting analalsys. And I don’t discount anyone, you made that asumption on my behalf for which I dont accept, and one certainly would not discount anyone because of a singular digit, the number 4. Lots to like about similarities in teddys writings, forensically have any professionals ever declared him and Z one and the same in writing? If so case closed! We move on. So back to the 4, you will find one or two of z closed. But nearly all teds open . Be your own Devils advocate, that’s the hardest thing to do. Simple observations in a discussion does not need your shitty reply because it does not suit you. And you will mourn my absense? WTF…. No smilies.

My point was you are entitled to your opinion. It seemed to me you were DQing a suspect on the basis of how he wrote 4.
Maybe I am just frustrated with the case.

I’ve poured through several pieces of his handwriting and can’t find one example of the ‘+’ style and sign.
This bothers me.
The one stroke, down from the top, going back up and to the left, before looping back to the right type of and sign
appears in at least the first half dozen Z letters.
But not a TK trait, as far as I can tell.
Very well then. If you wish to exclude TK because he does a + sign differently then that is your choice.
To me it does not make sense to disregard all the evidence above because of ONE trait like a 4 or a + .
But that is me. To each their own.
I have mostly given up hope that the FBI or police or amateurs or message boards will solve Zodiac or Tylenol.
Right now I am bored and frustrated with the Z case. My time outside of work and family and friends is more involved with researching and writing on other (non-crime) subjects.
In fact I just had an article accepted for publication in a magazine on sci-fi writer Philip K Dick and unusual experiences he and other writers and researchers have undergone.

Thanks to SEAGULL for passing along these documents to me. A lot of good printing from Ted here, so it is very well suited for handwriting comparisons to Zodiac. I will have all the pages posted later, and make some comparisons to Z handwriting. But right off from the start, a bird that flies near the ocean noticed that Kaczynski’s description at top of page 5, sixth line down, of wasting time "hew and haw and fiddle around" is very similar to Zodiac’s description of the police wasting time "fiddle and fart around " in LA Times letter!
So both Zodiac and Ted Kaczynski describe wasting time as "fiddle around". That is interesting in and of itself, but even more so when considered along with the dozens and dozens of other word and phrase matches, like "around in the snow", "contrary to what police say", "deplorable", "rather messy", etc, and the handwriting matches like three stroke "K" ‘s, five stroke "M" ‘s, etc. See them all starting here: viewtopic.php?f=102&t=250

Started today, I had taken a few days to complete.
But, I was horrified with the beginning, leaving me with it and excited to continue.
I am using the following criteria:
1- Do not force letters that are more similar.
2-Use words or whole or partial to better reliability.

I repeat, I am surprised of TK have not been thoroughly investigated in the case of ZK, I find it strange (it would be an agreement between TK and the prosecution of justice
