There was an episode from The Alfred Hitchcock Hour called "The Final Escape" (1964) that was pretty creepy, where a prisoner makes a deal with a gravedigger to help him escape from prison.

http://youtu.be/GQVG0-OXKXI

Apparently, it got remade in a 1980’s version of the same show. I love the Hitchcock TV shows from the 50’s and 60’s.

Anybody see a movie called ‘The Sentinel’ from the late 70’s? Real creepy. A woman moves into an apartment house in New York and she is the only tennant, besides an old priest that lives in the apartment at the top of the building,or at least she is supposed to be. It isn’t long before she meets the ‘other tennants’. She starts experiencing all kinds of creepy things, and discovers a big secret, and the movie ends with a shocking and creepy ending that will make your skin crawl

Some movies from when I was a kid that scared me(not sure how much they would today):

Don’t be afraid of the dark, Burnt Offerings,The Legend Of Hell House.

One that isn’t super scary, but was a great TV movie based on my favorite book is, The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow starring Jeff Goldblum.

No, I definitely remember it. Good movie, I sometimes get it mixed up with a Dennis Weaver movie in which he is driving around in a RV

Pet Semetary was great.

And one of my favorites was called Cat’s Eye, which was made up of three short stories. The one I liked best was called "Quitter’s, Inc", with James Woods and Alan King. It was brilliant. It also had a story called "The Ledge" which was very good.

I remember Cat’s eye with the little Troll that flies into the fan at the end. The 3 stories were cool, I remember James Woods sneaking off smoking whenever he could, and being paranoid that somebody was watching.

I hate this thread.

This is like asking me what my favourite breath was.

You’ve all already mentioned most of my favourites. Problem is I’ve probably watched nearly every horror movie known to man. I can’t rem half of them but lets try lol.

American Werewolf in London – Just awesome, I love werewolf movies like morf likes zombies.
Wolfman, Wolfman meets, Wolfman Vs etc etc. Any of those old b&w movies with Lon Chaney Jr et al. Even liked the remake of Wolfman.
Any of the Underground or Blade movies.
Night of the Demon. Another old b&w one.
Legend of Boggy Creek.
Evil Dead.
Carrie.
The Omen.
The Exorcist.
Scream.
The Car.
Christine.
Dreamcatcher. Stephen King.
Demons.
Living dead movies.
Blair witch project. Yes I liked it. No idea what it was about. Scared the crap outta me.
NIghtmare on Elm St.
Hellraiser.
The Babysitter. Another old one.
Alien. I know it’s a sci-fi but it had more horror ingredients than most horror films.
Vampires. John Carpenter.
From Dusk till Dawn.
I bought a vampire motorcycle.
Halloween.
TCSM.
REC.
Gingersnaps trilogy.
Dracula FFC, Dracula, 1979 (that’s a hard one to find but it’s awesome).
Howling of course.
Catseye. Loved that too.
Dog Soldiers.
Curse of the Werewolf.
Lost Boys.
Frightnight. The originals.
Ghostbusters?
Sixthsense.
Silver bullet. More SK.
Razorback. Ozzie movie about a deranged hog.
Van Helsing.

….and about a gazillion more but the names escape me.

I donโ€™t know Chief, heโ€™s very smart or very dumb.

American Werewolf in London.

Forgot about that. Another great movie. Effects were good for the time.

Not relate, but also gotta love the Warren Zevon song. (Along with a Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner)

Those of you who lived in the SF Bay Area will remember Creature Features with Bob Wilkins as host. Every Saturday night at 11 pm there was a horror show, some were not bad and some were so bad you had to watch! Check out Bob Wilkins site for a blast from the past.

http://www.bobwilkins.net/creaturefeatures.htm

I was pretty young, but do remember. I also remember the intro to "Night Gallery" freaked me out. Here is the pilot from 11/9/69 – Roddy McDowall, Joan Crawford.

Another scary movie…Desperately Seeking Susan. The horror!!!!!!!!!!!!

Loved Creature Features,I vaguely remember Night Gallery ..:)
