Just watched ep1,season2 of True Detective. I really liked it. I didn’t think it would be as good as season 1, but it seems like a great cast,and story line,characters,all good too.

Also,anybody watch American Odyssey? Another good show. My Sunday nights consist of American Odyssey,PennyDreadful,and now True Detective.(although there are only a couple more episodes of Penny & Odyssey until the season finales). That’s okay, Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead,and Sunday night football all coming soon

Longmire. Can’t wait until Season 4 comes out.

Mathias is my favorite character. I like his attitude. The acting of all the characters is very good, and the scenery (shot on location in Wyoming and New Mexico) is fantastic. Very well-done show in all respects.

Longmire-no longer on A&E,it’s now on Netflix

Yep, I know. I live in a rural area, no cable, don’t bother with satellite. I survive just fine with the free TV broadcasts and Netflix. Netflix instant streaming + DVD rental is just $16.50 a month and it’s amazing how fast the mail is with the DVDs. I mail them back around 2:00 PM and literally the next morning they’ve received it, and that day are sending me out the next one, which arrives the day after. Being 50 miles from Mpls./St. Paul helps.

And then Netflix rescues Longmire… One more reason to love that company.

I’m loving True Detective season 2

Not totally NEW, but new-ish — "It Follows" was a pretty darned good horror movie.

It creeped me out a bit, and that’s not easily done. Worth a watch. I really recommend.

Just watchin’ some Dukes of Hazzard and can’t wait for some football. Go Redskins!!

Is the Dukes of Hazard now shown without the confederate flag on the car? Also, how did you become a Redskins fan? Seems like a lot of other teams out your way. On that note, less than 4 weeks until the first pre season game

One of the big channels removed DOH (funny acronym) altogether. Bubba, the golfer who owns the original General Lee is painting over it. It’s beyond ridiculous really. I like the Redskins, always have, but a Raider fan at heart. Not really watching it…just sort of throwing out there how offending people has gotten out of control. Everyone is offended by something.

What else will we soon not be able to watch?

Throw movie remakes into the pile. I hate them!! There should be a list of movies that are not allowed to be remade. If you can’t come up with your own ideas than maybe film maker wasn’t a hood career choice.
