Forgiveness, I know no one here knows, but anyway, I was enjoying "IRA", a Brazilian rock band, well known and classical here.

Marcelo ;)

Ha!

My first thought was they should never play here … never. Then I thought, hold on a moment, you couldn’t buy publicity like that. The news reports alone would be worth it. But it might not be worth the risk.

I don’t know Chief, he’s very smart or very dumb.

lol,
Yes, I imagine !!!
The band’s name (IRA) is the meaning in Portuguese which translated into English is "anger".
But it is, as you said, it is better not to play with it out there !!! :)

The Wailers

In 1963, a lp cost 0.69$. Assuming an inflation rate of 3% annually, that would be 3.31$ today.

3 of the original 5 members of GNR played on stage together this weekend for the first time in 20+ years! Hell has frozen over, and they sounded pretty good too….totally stoked here

I love funk and guess for a while I will be listening to some Prince. Really hate he passed.

Don’t hate! I never cared for Prince’s music at all. I like a little bit of funky jams offered, but eh…just not a fan. But I come from a different musical genre…a Mom who liked 50’s music, Elvis and Country–even though I am NOT a fan of Country music in the slightest…and my Dad who gave me my taste for good old Rock music.

I’m taking a course now called the "History of Rock and Roll", so I am listening to all kinds of music (and a little shocked at how many of these old tunes I know the lyrics too) and really discovering how R&B holds its roots in rock…so I guess we could say Prince did as well.

Lonnie mack died the same day as Prince. Lonnie Mack had a hit with Chuck Berry’s Memphis Tennessee as an instrumental and also played with the doors in the studio> They were both on the Electra label.

Mack recorded some great albums in the 70’s and got alot of airplay in the south. When he went to the stations to do promotions the black dj’s would ask him if he was the limo driver and he would say no I’m Lonnie Mack. When the stations found out he wasn’t black they would stop playing his records.
