Yes that is true Morf no handwriting clues.. But it does hold a lot of the structure of Z speak. I still find it perplexing that if this is a real letter why would it not be in the public domain by now .. It’s 50 years on why not release all.
Cheers
It sucks, because it’s typewritten supposedly, so even if it really does exists, anybody could have typed it. No handwriting clues.
What about the FBI/ files, has anyone asked them if they have the letter/envelope, a copy of it, or knowledge of it ?
Hi, english is not my first language so please bear with me
At the risk of being redundant, I’ll repeat what I just said above, quoting myself:
I will just ask directly – has ANYONE other than RG seen this letter, or any proof that it exists?
Because it doesn’t – it DOES NOT – appear in any of the multitude of FBI documents that are available, and thanks to the work of Morf and AK on FOIA requests, pretty much everything that can be had is available.
I suppose a very specific FOIA could be sent in re: to this particular letter, but I can guess what the response would be. I strongly feel that the most obvious explanation is that Graysmith made the whole thing up. He is the sole and singular source, and has often been shown to be a bit loose with his facts, at best.
Sure, the supposed letter "sounds like Z." Of course it does. It was written in order to sound just like that.

has there ever been a channel of communications between sites like this one and graysmith? an email address, perhaps, or has he ever shown interest in the flourishing online community? if he were game, an hour of answering questions could clear up a lot of issues.

I recall – vaguely – that Gareth Penn was involved in a Q & A session at one point over on Voigt’s site – but to my knowledge Graysmith has never posted anywhere, at least not as himself.
Given that the "Zodiac community" as such has been an online thing for years now, it would be odd if Graysmith has never checked out the various message boards which have been up over the years – but that’s pure speculation on my part. The consensus on his work – on said boards – has never been very favorable, so he probably hasn’t felt strongly about joining…

The question and answer with G.P. was here (via the old site)–Zamantha helped with that one. http://zodiackillersite.forummotion.com/t72-gareth-penn
I have no doubt Graysmith used to visit message boards–especially Tom’s as they used to communicate, but I don’t he does anymore.
