Zodiac claimed to have been a escaped convict. I don’t think he told the truth but I thought why not check non-zodiac crimes involving letters or notes (for handwriting comparison). So I went to search on the internet for notes/letters used in crimes in California around the time of the CJB and Zodiac murders.

I found a note used during a bank robbery. It was photographed by the LAPD on 11-3-65. Interesting to see that the robber ends the note with a sarcastic "SMILE". I have never seen sarcasm in a robbery note before (most are clean cut demands etc.). Sarcasm was something Zodiac used in his letters. Could this be…? What is your opinion?

I don’t think he was being sarcastic. I think he didn’t want the teller to tip anyone off, so the instructions are, this is a stick up, so don’t move and smile. That way no one else will know what’s going on
