The OP at the source doranchak listed states that the O’s have crosses through them, as to be the zodiac symbol. Unless he’s seen the letter itself, how does he know that? The book does not describe such a detail. If he has seen the letter, I wonder where it is.

The admin of that site further posted about students calling in bomb threats in 1974. I got curious and looked it up and found this off newspapers.com (I don’t have a paid account there any longer, but luckily the OCR text is fairly legible)

There are many interesting bits of information in Lyndon’s book that have never been published before. People who made fun of his way of writing were focusing on the negative rather than all of the positive. The note above is a small part of the investigating that Lyndon and his friends did in the case.
I don’t agree with Grant being a good Zodiac suspect, but I do agree with all of the Zodiac like evidence that Lyndon put together.

That Benicia letter seems very Z like to me. That backwards S is exactly like the way my suspect wrote my last name, he used a backwards S as well. Thank goodness I took pictures, because I knew that everything he has done would not be believed unless I could show proof. (Still it has fallen on deaf ears.)

I do believe that Lyndon had a run in with the true Zodiac and that Zodiac somehow had access to Grants car and used it to play games with Lyndon. I doubt it was Grant who played those games with him, knowing it would lead to him right away.

Zodiac wasn’t stupid nor do I believe Zodiac was a genius, I think he was more lucky than anything else. There are probably more communications from Zodiac that were swept under the rug so to speak, thinking that those communications were a hoax when they weren’t. Lyndon worked hard to find what he found and wanted to share his findings by writing his book. I miss him very much!

The article didn’t mention the note in it,so I wonder if it’s real, if Z wanted to capitalize off the bomb threat news by leaving the note. While I certainly think Z may have been skilled at writing in different styles, the writing doesn’t look overly like any known Z writing, but the candy cane F’s are there for sure. That brings back up the question, how many of Zodiac’s candy cane f’s had been published up to the point of this letter,for a copycat to use? We know there were candy cane F’s on the RCC desktop, and on the Berryessa car door,but were they seen by the general public by this point?

Wonder what the names of the 2 youths that were arrested for making the calls were?

Thanks doranchak, Your post is so true about so many who have suspects , I see it almost every day. ( Example) " I remember my dad mentioning the Zodiac as we drove through Vallejo, he has to be Zodiac! "

I stopped dating someone who has Patternicity.

If that note was from Zodiac, and one of the boys arrested was his, then it would be easy to learn what the Zodiac’s name was.
I have tried to find a city directory for Benicia , because I am told that is where my Honcho suspect was from, he had a job in construction there. I have found where he worked, "Lathrope Construction". I went there to see if I could get any information, the person I spoke to was like talking to a wall. That company had jobs all over California, they did a lot of work for schools which I found important being two that I knew had construction going on at the times of the crimes. One was Lompoc the other RCC. They have a website, you can check out some of the many jobs they did in California. I know my suspect worked on the new police station being built in Antioch during the 1990’s, I saw him and was also told by a witness.

I would like to see the school yearbook for that year about the boys being arrested. To see if any names jump out at me? It doesn’t hurt to try, somebody needs to do it!

That note reads like it was written by someone who barely speaks English.
