So there was a writer by the name of Sylvanus M. Duvall and he wrote a lot of articles and I have found two that he referenced Gilbert and Sullivans Little List in, but this excerpt from one just struck me as an odd thing to write about….from the San Mateo Times February 5 1966.

Here is the other one, again referencing the little list from Gilbert and Sullivan. This one is from San Mateo Times December 27 1969.

Not sure what it is, but his writing has a really dark, almost demanding quality about it. Can’t quite figure it out. He definitely has a problem with society and REALLY seems to want to change women based on his second article…..wants to "groom" them to "how to act and what to say that is appropriate". Then he states that "Most important of all, they can learn to be interested in others."

I like the little Stan Lee/Marvel comic book heads….but I doubt that’s The Zodiac. Too refined and educated. Too calm and composed. Seriously doubt there was a time in The Zodiac’s life when he had that much control over his mind and emotions.

I don’t think he’s trying to change women. Seems he’s saying that people in one social context may possess no charm or attractiveness but in another, different context, an entirely contrary result may occur. You know, a flower may not bloom in one soil but placed in another…

That’s my take. Plus some chauvinism.

Anyway, if that’s not The Zodiac, then just like the use of "shall" and "until", The Zodiac was not unique in referencing The Mikado…

Well, "SYLVANUS DUVALL" is an anagram solution to the MY NAME IS cipher….

EDIT: Not The Zodiac. Duvall was an actual author, although his wife was more prolific. Seems they collaborated from time to time.

Oh…yeah I wasn’t saying he was Z
..just the way he wrote and the things he wrote about seem very Z like.

As far as it being and anagram….how so? I haven’t studied much with that aspect of this case but always love some Zynchronisity…

And Duvall never lived in CA either, but maybe Z followed his writings.
