I have some questions about goldcatcher. On the tv show he was on with Mr. Voigt, how come he was in disguise? And why does he use an alias? Does he have a real name? Is he wanted for something somewhere? I don’t get it.

I don’t know or think he was wearing a disguise that day. I’m pretty sure he always had hair that length and he was probably keeping up with the same kind of appearance he kept, long since past.

For real?

Why are people still taking Blaine seriously?

I was reading his website the other day and Blaine declares: "Let’s be direct and honest, I was the classic tragic Genius." I fell off my chair when I read that. :-)

Blaine then tells his readers what the requirements are in order for a suspect to be considered as serious. I am directly quoting his words from his site now:

"The Ture Zodiac must have a connection to the following items:
1) He must be connected absolutely to Vallejo, to Benicia, to Lake Berryessa and San Francisco.
2) He must have a connection with a Timex Watch, to the Badlands, or South Dakota.
3) He must have lived in a basement in 1969 and 70.
4) He must have, in the period of 1969, worn horn rimmed glasses.
5) He must have some connection to the word ‘EXORCIST’, spelled backwards TSICROXE.
6) There must absolutely be a connection to the Cipher word ‘GYKE’
7) He must be connected to the phrase ‘GOOD TIME’.
8) He must be a photographer.
9) He must be connected to a Newspaper, Teletype Machine and teletype paper
10) He must know how to sew.

And there are many many more ‘requirements’ Blaine lists after these 10 that I can’t type out because I am laughing to much.

"

"So it’s sorta social. Demented and sad, but social, right?" Judd Nelson.

I think I commented on this list of requirements before and it’s a valid point, Chappie. I’ll grant him the beginning and end of this list. The middle narrows the suspect list down to Richard Gaikowski. I honestly find Gaikowski interesting as a suspect but it’s clearly necessary to consider Goldcatcher’s method of investigation with a huge grain of salt.

Blaine left out one requirement, his name must be RICHARD GAIKOWSKI

"As some day it may happen that a suspect may be found, Blaine’s got a little list, Blaine’s got a little list…"
I couldn’t help noticing either that Blaine’s ‘little list’ of requirements are not requirements needed for a suspect to fit Zodiac, but rather a list of requirements to force Zodiac to fit suspect Richard Gaikowski. And yes, if Blaine’s list becomes mandatory to use when seeking suspects that fit it, out of a World-wide population of approx. 7 Billion people, we are left with a list of 1, Dick Gaik.

Sometimes it seems Blaine himself is implying that he is the Zodiac. Dangerous game, if the real Zodiac killer is still alive and out there watching.

I thought Ricardo’s feature on Blaine was interesting. Dan did you listen to the Blaine tapes of himself talking? The reason I and others do not take everything he says seriously is in the tapes he not only accuses Gaikowski of being Z he also accuses him of being a terrorist, a Reagan assassin, the Green River Killer, the Golden Calf Killer and the Unabomber.

Anagrams, Entopy??? Possibly???? But where??
Dg9

I’ll leave the anagramming to the pros, Daniel. I honestly have no idea what Blaine is trying to say here or even whether it has anything to do with Zodiac or Gaikowski. I’m glad Ricardo is giving him a forum to express himself rather than the selective interpretations presented elsewhere but I honestly could do without the riddles.
