Gianrico C. Pierucci has the most exciting job in San Francisco. Or at least one of them.
He’s the 51-year-old police inspector assigned to spend his days investigating (and reinvestigating and then investigating again) the 1969 Zodiac killing in San Francisco.
Pierucci was about six years old when the unidentified Zodiac serial killer murdered a young night cabbie named Paul Stine in the city’s glamorous Presidio Heights neighborhood.
Welcome aboard, and thanks for joining and posting this, I am about to read it now. If you’d like to, please make a post in the ‘introduce yourself’ thread, and fill everybody in as far as your background as it relates to this case and story. By the way, we can’t have duplicate posts here, so I deleted your other post in the Stine section, as this is the right spot for this post

Lol, no. The link in his Story points to Tom’s site,
I actually do remember telling him that one of my favorite suspects from Riverside used addresses in Vallejo and Clayton during the Z murders, and that the Phillips Map arrow points to the town of Clayton

That’s good! An honest mistake I’m sure.
A sloppy — but honest — mistake!
Interesting point…
WALLET, ID & CAB KEYS missing…
Just wonder about why Z had taken them. Taking the WALLET, including the ID, is one thing. Additionally taking the KEYS is another.
Anybody an idea why? Stine was dead, at least dying..so imo no need to steal his keys..

*ZODIACHRONOLOGY*
may be his key ring had a little magnety thingy on it

Just a hunch, but either he collected keys as souvenirs or they had his fingerprints on them. Also, what better way to disable the car you have your prey in than to take the keys?
Maybe Stine had his foot on the brake and the cab was not in park-after being shot. Z turned off ignition and/or put the car in park. Having done so- then took the keys because he touched them.
Edit
Just realized you may be talking about Stine’s personal keys and not the ignition keys.

I agree with this theory as a possibility, bmichelle. Seems pointless to take the keys for any other reason as he was quickly abandoning the vehicle – unless of course he knew Stine, and desired the keys to something else Paul had access to.
