I was somewhat familiar with the Unabomber story. However only this year I have realized he may have had other criminal careers. It seems he even recorded in his secret diary he had comitted other crimes but they should not be disclosed so as not to blemish his image. As the Unabomber, he has a narrative which, incredible as it may seem, may make him not so bad to quite a few. There are many aspects of the Zodiac crimes which strongly remind me of the Unabomber.

According to the police reports of known Zodiac contact, Zodiac was possibly young, had brown hair, was around 5’9, was heavyset, had a round or beefy face, and wore size 10 1/2 shoes with possible links to the military and specifically the air force. People often believe the Zodiac wore glasses but from my understanding the only time he was described as wearing glasses was at the Paul Stine murder. So who fits that description and has been linked to the Zodiac murders? If I had to pick a favorite POI, I would pick Lawrence Kane simply because he fits most of the general description and because eyewitnesses have picked him as matching the Zodiac. For example, Officer Fouke said Kane looked like the man he saw on the day Stine was murdered. Kathleen Johns picked Kane as her abductor and prior to picking Kane’s image she identified the man in the Paul Stine drawing as her abductor. Bryan Hartnell said Kane’s voice had a similar pattern to the man who tried killing him. Kane has also been linked to other murders similar to the official Zodiac murders; he has been linked to the Dana Lull murder for example. These things cannot be ignored. What other POI has these kinds of positive identifications from separate eyewitnesses?

If I had to guess I would say none of the POIs. I got a feeling it’s someone we never heard of.

I agree that the Zodiac isn’t known. I feel that he was a young guy in his 20s. He started out by targeting high schoolers (official victims) at lovers lanes. Does that sound like something an adult would do? I mean it’s possible but it’s kind of strange for an adult to know where kids hang out and to kill them. If he were an adult he must have had some kind of obsession with younger people.

I never had a favorite suspect, but there was someone who interested me recently, and that was Xenophon Anthony (1931-2016), who lived near the location of Paul Stine’s murder and who was identified by one of the eye-witnesses (one of the kids) as the one he had identified as the murderer. But I also found out a little bit after I knew about this identification by a eye-witness that he was ruled out by fingerprint comparison.

I thought a random kid reported him as a suspect, not one of the three eyewitnesses to the Paul Stine murder. Interesting

My favorite suspect right now is Don Cheney. There are a lot of red flags with that guy. Why on Earth would he say that he licked Leigh’s stamps and gave him his fingerprint? Well because he’s worried that it’s going to be found on the Zodiac letters. His handwriting is similar to Zodiac’s handwriting and they both misspelled the word victim. This is on top of many other interesting coincidences.

Still like my POI Ray who lived across the street from the Chronicle and two blocks away from Woolworth at the time of the Zodiac spree. Had a job as a wing walker in southern CA. back in the early 60’s and later was a janitor in the later 60’s. probably never with a woman and later shared a apartment with a gay man the rest of his life, complete loner. Claim to be a killer and later claimed to kill 17 people and look identical to the PH sketch and around the age 35 then. Dress like what the Zodiac was seen wearing in normal life. Had the RH initials So still going with him.

1. Richard Gaikowski – His strong connections to both Stine & Darlene, his strong handwriting similarities, his radical beliefs, and various other things.

2. Richard Marshall – The fact he worked at a theater were El Rojo Spectro played just before the Red Phantom is interesting to me and some other small things about him as well.

3. Ted Kaczynski – Handwriting similarities and his interest in codes & bombs.

4. Harvey Colliver – Those film cases with the cross circle are very interesting..

5. Troy Houghton – He and along with Kane were both my original top 2 suspects. The minutemen’s logo, the poster, his connections to bombs, and his overall appearance really stood out to me.

Honorable mentions to Kane and Bujok.
